I do a hot intensive wash with bleach and soda crystals and nothing in the drum every so often. Occasionally I put too much in and bubbles come pouring out the soap drawer hehehe |

White vinegar is apparently a good alternative to fabric softener, and if you want your clothes to be fragranced add a couple of drops of essential oils.
Also meant to be a good anti grease cleaner and window cleaner |

Put your machine on 60 degree wash, 1 cap of washing LIQUID (tesco cheap shit will do)' 1 teaspoon bicarb of soda mixed in and put in the liquid bit of the drawer. Schaff (squeeze to a layman) quarter of a jif lemon into the fabric conditioner bit of the drawer and let it run.... Empty of course.
Should work on o,d smells and once a month i hot wash the empty machine with liquid and a really heavy smelling fabric conditioner |

To clean all removable parts that are not self cleaning on an oven place in a black bin bag add a small amount of household ammonia and tie up bag. Leave outside over night and open in the outside facing away from bag. Remove items and place in bath with biological washing powder and watch them sparkle |

Cover wall lights when painting the wall all ceiling with a carrier bag.
Simply open the carrier. Turn it upside down. Pop it over the wall light and tie the handles together.
