Are you a road rager?
I personally don't get wound up by people who cut me up. Don't get me wrong there are some dangerous drivers out there who carelessly speed and put others in danger which is enough to make anyone mad... but there are a lot of people who are quick to hit the horn or give out the two finger salute over the slightest of driving errors. They're the same drivers who refuse to let in the poor people who've acvidentally got in the wrong lane. Why do people turn into such grumpy arseholes when behind the wheel? |

Because they are grumpy arseholes the rest of the time too.
I let people in all the time, think it pisses the people off behind me. I do admit to swearing at idiots. I have all the time in the world for learner drivers though. 50 yrs since I passed my test but I still remember how crap it was to be a learner. |

We all know they didn't have tests in your day "
and they had people walking in front of the cars to help and guide them |

I don't suffer from road rage, there are occasions when people do things and i just think you stupid knob head but to get to the point when people are asking each other for a fight is just sillyness. |

I used to be a right twat but 10 years later I couldn't care less. I Let anyone in except for the people that deliberately speed up the wrong lane and try to squeeze in. |

Simple - they have a couple of tons of power at their finger tips, along with the inherent physical protection a car provides, much in the same way as any coward out on a Friday night becomes Johnny Big Bollocks when he has his mates with him.
To quote Abraham Lincoln
'Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.' |

In life im the most laid back person and never lose my cool. I had my first road rage incident a few weeks back i had a taxi up my arse so i went to move over to let him passed checked mirrors indicated and went to move over (msm ) he went to under take me and id cut him off by moving over he then statrted beeping so i thought fuck you so any time he made a move to under /over take i did the same at a slow speed.
It got to the point i was turning off so i took my lane and as he passed he offered man expletives and swerved in to me i manged to swerve out of his way but nearly ended up off the road!
We came to a set of lights windows down and this time many expletives were exchanged by us both then i lost it jumped out the car and was ready to choke the fucker out! He subsequently ran a red light and was never to be seen again! I got back in my car git hone and had a few to calm down |

I'm usually driving too early in the morning to see any other drivers doing anything to get me worked up about. Although I do get pissed off with bikers if I'm visiting relatives in the highlands, usually arseholes up from the cities for a wee blast on the B roads, knee to ground on all the corners screaming past you at 100mph+, however they do wonders for the organ donor list up there. |

Rager..nope..life's too short......expect the worst..deal with it.......doesn't mean I am not surprised by some of the idiots around...if I make a mistake..I usually know it......some folk seem utterly oblivious...worries me..

A few years back we were in the Lake District and driving in our Range Rover so we had good visibility over the stone walls.
I noticed the roof of a car coming along towards us on a bend so pulled over and stopped and waited on the narrow road.
As he came around the bend he saw us and broke hard and skidded all the way up to us , as he got alongside he, to our surprise, shouted " don't drive so bloody fast on these roads" and buggered off |

No don't get road rage life's to short to get annoyed about it, to be honest I find it amusing with some people on roads. Today on way to work I was behind a women in a Peugeot convertible at a roundabout she got out to take top off roof Oblivious to the long queue traffic behind her, I couldn't stop laughing while bloke behind me was blasting horn and getting redder by the minute priceless |

someone pulled out on me in traffic and I presumed he hadn't seen me so I pipped my horn to warn him I was there..He stopped dead in the middle of the road and got out the car, stormed up to my side and started screaming at me..
I calmly got out the car and asked him if he would like to discuss it as a rational human being..
He had no idea what to do lol...
He buggered off back in his car and screeched off....lol. |

I had to emergency brake today coincidentally, as the car in front stopped suddenly but had no brake lights. Luckily, my car has assisted emergency brake system so I was able to stop. He then drove off again. Crazy. |

Everyone makes mistakes, just a shame they forget when they get in a rage that they probably committed the same misdemeanor earlier ! No harm in a little curse inside the car but keep it there before it gets out of hand ! |

I am ashamed to say I used to be.
I drive HGVs and used to live in London and drive long and wide loads around London and the south east. I was forever causing mayhem but it was just because of the sheer size so people used to scream abuse at me and I used to lose my rag
But, since I moved to scotland 5 years ago, I've not had even 1 incident |

I drive a van,, there are some stereo-typical "white van man" drivers granted, who drive like foot to the floor is the only way to go and they subsequently peeve everyone, car drivers even other van drivers, with the dangerous tailgating etc.
I get tarred with the same brush from vengefull drivers, probably sensible decent drivers normally, but when they see a van ahead, seem to, i can only imagine after surviving white van mans tailgating think it might be fun to return the gesture to the next van they encounter. A van with no central vision, no rear windows is restricted in terms of seeing whats behind generally, but get up close and we struggle to see you folks.
Done drive to survive courses, taught where to drive slower, safe gaps, and predictive driving, where you anticipate potential danger etc, all irrelivant when you have a van hating peeved driver dangerously close to you,,, you can actually see past a van more easily if you choose not to get closer than is safe. |

I'll only "have a go" if someone does something so incredibly stupid that I think it may have caused injury to me and other occupants of my vehicle, had I not been able to take evasive action. |
