A world of my own

My mum was a good cook, plain and simple but good wholesome healthy, food. Pea and Ham soup, stake pie, beef stew and dumlings, Hot Pot etc... I wish she was here now to cook all the lovely warming winter stuff she used to make when I was a kid.

My mom was what i call a basic good home cooking lady.

The best roast dinner ever and gravy to die for. done the old fashioned way with veg water ,meat juices and oxo and cornflour mixed.

She could also bake and made caraway seed cake. yum. not had one since i was a girl.

i tend to follow alot of what she did actually.

nowt wrong with old fashioned ways .

But i draw the line at pressure cooking. yuck.

I know my dad cooked when I was growing up as mum had no idea. I therefore have no idea but I can throw things together and somehow they work. Bit like Dehlia does

Dave's Day was amazing yesterday , I didn't go but some amazing videos on YouTube ,, (if you like motorbikes you will love it )

An estimated 20.000 bikes made their way to Barrow

People standing and watching from motorway bridges

RIP Dave
