Thanks guys. Ben, we've been to that one in Topsham before. It's bloody lovely. We are seafood fans so it's our kinda place. Langoustine we delicious with lemon butter.

Can't wait! X

Northampton

You could always take the ferry from Exmouth to Starcross and a short walk to Cockwood and the Anchor Inn.

A lovely fish restaurant.

actually, if you don't mind taking a drive, the minadab restaurant in teignmouth has long been a good place.

there are a bunch of average places, pubs with carveries and so on, and there are a couple of pukka chippies, same day catch, fried in dripping etc

exeter has a couple of smaller places that do genuinely good food, thai etc

going the other way there are one or two in sidmouth

if you end up on a day out to plymouth, the devon diner in the pannier market is first class honest grub cooked while you wait for bugger all money

Torquay

Pop into Exeter city centre and try 'The Conservatory Restaurant' in North street.

'The Galley' in Topsham is great too....
