There are a few people on here that have been hosting parties regularly for years and I'd much prefer to attend one of them than try and organise one of our own. Some people have the perfect set up for discrete parties whereas our neighbours curtains would be twitching away all evening if we tried it here lol |

I used to but don't know.. if yu not careful your house is in tatters..
you need to stay sober to keep an eye on everyone as once the drink flows..
on the whole most people are fab..
for a single guy its a good way to get known in the scene..

We held our first party at our house, it was a real last minute thing. We had put a note on our profile requesting a meet for the weekend and had a few replies all from lovely couples. Couldnt decide which to go with so thought we would have a party then we could meet them all. We were all party virgins but the night (and morning) was a huge success. Still trying to get the house to ourselves long enough for us to do another one.....but would definatley do it again.  |

held 4 birthday parties where the only attendees have been swingers, each one has cost me in excess of £1000, next month we are off on holiday with the money I will save celebrating my birthday at home  |

No we wouldn't, sadly there are too many people who would not respect the fact that they are in someone elses house
Our parties are either limited to friends and family invited for a drink, as we did on NYE and the swinging type of party would be limited to the couple or single guy who we may have invited round for som fun
But that's as far as it goes |

I have to say that we wouldn't have one here. I hate mess and clutter and tidying up in the morning, but apart from that, around here if someones pet strays into your garden then everyone knows |

We certainly have the house for it but have neighbours who we regularly socialise with which could lead to awkward questions.
The garden and conservatory are nice places to play but are overlooked and the extra cars would again lead to awkward questions.
So for us it's a nice thought but a real non starter  |

We have held a few parties and they have all been a success. We choose who we invite carefully. No problems here so far. Due to family matters, we hav not had many this last year, but 2010 we intend to get 'back into the swing of things' lol |

Lol we are kinda lucky as we have the room and are not overlooked at all either.
Everyone knows we have family parties and bikers parties so the locals dont batter an eyelid when they see folks turning up here.

we held our first one just before christmas and it went really well, or so we thought
had a few peops who stayed overnite as well. however they turned out to be the worst. inconsiderate feckers who like to get up too early and make too much fookin noise for my liking |

We had a swinger’s party last march turned out to be a very good night
Haven’t found the time do organise another due to illness. So hopefully
We can sort one out in March now mr tuxi is on road to recovery

I have quite a few over past years and yes they can be stressful to a point.
Getting the right balance is essential .
Cpls and singlys.
easiest way is to invite those you have already met and liked. they all bring a bottle...
And you also invite a cpl of gorgeous hunks and single fems.
I stuck nibbles on first one...
second i stuck a big pot of curry on and rice and let everyone sort themselves out.
Now that was a good night

I am planning to move to a small house in the summer and plan to get a secluded cottage so that I can host parties
I dont have the space here and now and privacy is an issue

i live in a block of 4 houses with adjoining walls too.
I dread to think what they thought at all the noises etc. |

Well, having read the posts...seems about 50/50
We probably wouldent, we had a problem with a single guy who came to our old house...hence our travel only rule.
Shame really as its nice to have a drink and not have to drive etc etc.
Being selective is difficult if you have not actually met people too...its sometimes difficult to gauge what folks are really like until you meet them.
We are housetrained and polite
Many are not....

I had one once when i had invited a newbie...
The guy was youngish and asian and he said he would bring some samosas etc.
I thought. awwwwwwwww
ANyways he gets here, hands over the food and i say thanks ..
He enters the lounge when things were already happening and whoooooosh....
HE departed quick as anything.
