Dislike her intensely. Her treatment of Les Dennis was utterly low, and she's the worst kind of self-publicising arsehole the industry is riddled with.
Pair her with Alison Hammond, and they are just awful. On her own (Bake-Off) Hammond is tolerable, but Holden brings out the worst in her, infecting her like a virus and leading to a cacophony of obnoxiousness as each gets louder to grab the most attention.
During lockdown, Holden was starved of the oxygen of publicity, so did wacky, attention-seeking things like mow her lawn in her wedding-dress. She presents herself as a benign, everyday person with an endearingly odd streak, but it's all a cynical affectation to mask what a really nasty wotsit she is.
I've worked in the 'Biz, and know those kind of people very well. Off-screen, if a member of the public's heart was on fire, Holden wouldn't piss down their throat to put it out. The nicer and more endearing they are in front of the camera, the nastier they are off it.
It's why nice actors always make the best villains, and proves that shit floats.
So, no I haven't rubbed one out over her... |

I haven't seen very much of what she has done because I rarely if ever watch what used to be referred to as terrestrial TV.
I'm aware of her and that's about it but she seems to appear on shows that I avoid and which all seem to appeal to a particular demographic.
Therefore when I said above that I reach for the remote if she appears on screen it's usually because I know the programme is going to be a bit shit. Apart from that she is irrelevant. |

She was in the Sound of Music when another member of the cast who was 17 years her senior ( her only being approx 21 / 22 ) started offloading about his recent split from his wife and how he seldom saw his son.
They were platonic friends for some time while she continued to 'mother' him due to him needing a lot of support and their relationship grew and they married.
Like many marriages it ended. It was thirty years ago.
She didn't need him to get work and still doesn't.
Shame she gave some of her best years to a man child who didn't mind taking advantage of a very young woman. |

On a site dedicated to sex and that we're supposed to be a bit more open and enlightened about it, the fact that some men think it's ok to talk about women this way is gross.

I disagree there’s a whole ton of it. Not everyone finds her attractive and that’s ok, plenty do which obviously ok too. This thread didn’t need to be bumped because the first time round it was very divided and nothing has changed, it lends itself to being offensive however, how do people know comments such as ‘I’d fill her up any day’ for example isn’t vulgar and objectifying in itself? Just because the poster may view it as a compliment, it doesn’t mean that’s how it’s received. |
