Ow do fine folks 👍🏻
It’s of course very much open to debate, but the simple wheel is often cited as the greatest invention ever conceived by we as humans.
Fair enough; But what conversely would you cite to be the very worst examples?

"Those new bottle tops
They are horrible, I've scratched my face on them a few times...it bloody hurts!
What?!? The ones that don’t come off fully? They are amazing! I love them! "
And I struggle to get the little fockers back on properly! |

Thomas Midgley Jr was a chemist and engineer responsible for three rather unfortunate inventions.
Number 1 - the additive tetraethyl lead for petrol. This made petrol burn more smoothly in car engines, but was responsible for horrendous environmental pollution, probably killing many many thousands of people.
Number 2 - chlo uorocarbons, better well known as CFCs. These were developed as supposedly inert gases that could be used for pressurising spray cans and in liquid form as the coolant circulating in refrigeration equipment. However when released into the atmosphere they caused chemical disruption of the "ozone layer" which protects against dangerous UV light from the sun. CFCs have probably been responsible for millions of cases of skin cancer.
Number 3 - he built a medical hoist device to help himself in and out of bed after he had become crippled by polio late in life. The device malfunctioned and str@ngled Midgley. |

😱I really shouldn’t make light of his unfortunate demise, of course…..but maybe it was a case of poetic justice? 😵💫 |

"Banana case/protector..... they're never the same shape as an actual banana. That asides they're generally just stupid. "
😂 I was going to suggest those to 😂
Lakeland do them and a whole plethora of other weird and frequently, not so wonderful gizmos that perfectly illustrate the somewhat regrettable principle of style over functionality… |

For me the greatest invention is fish n chips, pure genius.
But the worst for me the men's public urinals, standing next to someone you don't know and trying to pee inhaling all the fumes, ok if you're on sex meet or dogging, and then they've got a little kids one at the end ugh. cubicles much better. |

Simply give a firm tap with a knife or spoon handle on the edge and they open easily. |

Those silicone "egg poachers" that are always hanging down in a supermarket aisle. For some reason they can always be found in a completely different aisle to where the fresh eggs are located...
Anyway; they absolutely do not fucking work. You're much better off cracking an egg into a ladle then lowering it into a pot of simmering water before fishing it out with a slotted spoon (that actually sounds far harder to do than it actually is). |
