There was a band called China drum, in which the drummer was also the singer. British band in the style of green day /melodic fast punk. Good singer & drummer. |

You clearly know your jazz drummers (many of whom are amazing and tend to get overlooked in favour of the rock guys, as that genre is more popular).
I was going to say Joe Morello, Elvin Jones or Billy Higgins.
Intrigued why not Buddy Rich though. I’m not disagreeing - I don’t really know enough about. It’s just he always seems to be in the conversation. |
