Somewhere In The Ether…

Are you a dunker?

Describe your specialised technique in relation to your biscuit of choice.

Also, is it considered poor etiquette amongst the more snobby of the dunking fraternity to dunk biscuits in coffee as well as tea? 🤔

All things dunking related in fact; please discuss 👍🏻

Amen! 👍🏻 Ginger Nuts (and hobnobs) are indubitably the most structurally sound of biscuits when dunked (I have conducted exhaustive scientific experimentation in this most specialised of fields) 😇

I have 2 mugs of coffee 1 for dunking chocolate chip cookies and the other to drink. I recommend 3/4 seconds per dunk😊

Dunking is like a two edged sword.

The dunking but is great but it always (for me anyway) ends up with me getting greedy and dunking for to long, then you get the chunky bits at the bottom of your drink

Custard creams for me. I usually only risk 2 dunks as I hate it when they fall into my coffee.

Yes, I am a dunker.

Once upon a time it used be just one or two types of biscuits that were ideal for me for dunking. These days I just about dunk every conceivable biscuit. I find that a cup of tea is just to wet without a dunk'able biscuit or ³. 🍪 🫖

I like to dunk a whole chocolate hobnob, for way too long, you lose the odd one but it’s worth it - then toss it into your mouth, clamp your jaws around it and suck all the chocolatey tea from it.

I mean, although not my absolute favourite, ginger nuts are objectively the best dunking biscuits but chocolate chip cookies are my go-to. I know there are some mavericks who bite the ends off a Twix and use it as a straw

Somewhere In The Ether…

Has anyone tried dunking Mars Bars or Whispers into one’s tea/coffee and sucking the chocolate off?

It’s really rather sexual…

As Neil Buchanan used to say on Art Attack, ‘Try it at home yerselves; Ta Ra!’ 👍🏻

My wife looks at me with distain when I dunk a biccie, as she is fervently against it.

Granted, it's just the quickest of dips when dealing with the driest of biscuits, but it's still enough to score disapproval.

This is the same woman who loves coffee, likes chocolate, but gets NOTHING when doing the old "Tim-Tam/Coffee" bit.
