I was just watching this morning TV programme, I caught a bit of it and give me the idea to post this interesting question, I think anyway?

According to the expert on it, quite a lot of women actually have an orgasm while giving birth but a lot wouldn’t admit to it, my question is, are there many women on this website that have experienced this?

Hahaha that has to be a man!

No doubt there is probably some evidence that says that whatever contracts during an orgasm does the same thing when giving birth but I will be very surprised if there is a woman who would ever say she felt like she was having an orgasm. We can't admit to something we don't feel.

Do you mean as a pain reliever? I know it’s recommended to some women during labour as a natural pain relief.

I had this recommended to me by a midwife as my second was late. No idea if it works as I couldn't think of anything worse. I was huge, grumpy and incredibly uncomfortable, the last thing I wanted was sex.

From what I gathered from the OP is that he's asking about women having an orgasm presumably when the baby is being pushed out of her body though.

'a lot wouldn't admit to it' In other words the expert didn't believe a lot of women who said they didn't have an orgasm while pushing 8 lbs of sentiment flesh out of their vagina.

What sex was the expert ?

I have heard of this but I would think the number of women who experience orgasm during labour is tiny. I also think that suggesting the number is small because women won't admit to it is insulting.

Of they want to keep something like that private rather than tell the world and his wife that's their right.

I think if I'd have even thought to mention the possibility that whilst the OH was in labour inhaling the gas and air and squeezing my hand so hard I was thinking my bones were being crushed, 'it'll be ok love you might just have an orgasm'..

I would have copped a right hander..

Carlisle usually

Orgasm tend to require a certain headspace for me.

I can be doing all the usual highly effective physical stimulation and it can feel amazing, but if my head is not in that happy sexual headspace, I'm not going to have an orgasm. And even as a happy little masochist I can't imagine that kind of pain being the kind that gets me off, I'd expect it to be in the same bucket of fuck off pain as toothache.

It might be possible to some people if they are masochists into that kind of pain and really really into the idea of breeding. But I can't see it being a common thing 💜

I was always under the impression that childbirth was one of the most dangerous experiences a person could go through.

According to statistics from the UN, 303,000 women a year die in childbirth which is the equivalent of one every two minutes.

Infant mortality and complications arising during or after birth are also a serious issue.

I believe these concerns possibly.... maybe... supersede issues of arousal and orgasm during childbirth.

Now I am not saying that birthing orgasms are impossible - I have heard of them -just that they are probably not high up on the agenda of expectant and/or labouring mothers.

That said - I have heard that lopping off your penis can induce an orgasm ( I think it was some expert on tik tok)

Give it a try OP and remember to report back.

So, now you’re confused, is the stuff you’re reading on Facebook and TikTok and such the real truth or what you read on Google or even from those people who actually experienced it, are they telling the truth, this is why I asked the question earlier

Yes they're telling the truth.

Your op claims it happens to a lot of women and that a lot of women won't 'admit' it as if it should somehow be in the public domain.

It happens to some women who are happy to say that it does and to some who like to keep it private.

It does not happen to the majority of women if the replies here are anything to go by.

I think the reason a lot of women are arguing against this is because quite often things like this lead to *some* people imagining that it's going to happen to all women and it won't be long before we have guys sexualising it.

I suggest the OP takes his penis ..slams the door on it for a good ten minutes, then thinks women who orgasm when giving birth is actually correct.. the pain of birth is the equivalent of being hit many times by a bus. Think all women bit preoccupied getting that baby out of their vagina, whilst forgoing any dignity left, the so called expert I agree was probably a man.

can assure, having done it twice, that's the biggest load of twaddle. more likely to pass out not have a bloody orgasm

I can't possibly fathom a single situation in which this would be true. Whatever research you refer to is utterly insane.

There is a stage aptly called the right of fire.

That being said, they could be talking about stimulation during early labour to progress things, which is factually true but not on any woman's mind at even the very early stages.

Are you absolutely sure the "expert" said this or is this your interpretation?

The likelihood of a woman giving birth having an orgasm is incredibly small. The fact you believed that women simply don't admit it absolutely baffles me.

You clearly haven't witnessed childbirth.

This is why I posted the question, I couldn’t believe it either because either watching it on TV or being there in real life as I have, there was definitely no signs of orgasm but again which is why I asked the question and would like to emphasise, it’s 0.3% of women who experienced this so obviously every other woman on here hasn’t, but I do ask you to research it and see if there’s any truth in my apparent nonsense

Not 'quite a lot' then, which you said initially?

Did the woman who experienced it or the doctor say it was quite a lot of women?

I’m sorry if I did say quite a lot, but I’m sure I didn’t, but no it’s not a lot of women, it’s a very minute percentage, I checked it on some medical sites and even asked Google, do women experience orgasms during birth or should I say giving birth And they were in hundreds but not thousands"

You did say that in your very first post.

I can’t believe no one has said this before me. Imagine growing up and being told the first orgasm you gave a woman was to your own mum…

"According to the expert on it, quite a lot of women actually have an orgasm while giving birth but a lot wouldn’t admit to it

Are you absolutely sure the "expert" said this or is this your interpretation?

The likelihood of a woman giving birth having an orgasm is incredibly small. The fact you believed that women simply don't admit it absolutely baffles me.

You clearly haven't witnessed childbirth. "

Have witnessed child boat, which is why it surprised me when these two women, not experts outside of the field of medicine, one being a female doctor and the other one being the female who experienced it, I’m not saying it’s true, which is why I posted The question in the first place to see what women’s points of view were, you seem to think that I think I know what I’m talking about, this is not the case, I’m only trying to say this is what two women said this morning live on TV, only wish someone on here today had watched Ben and Kat on this morning, the very last topic of the episode

And I have to rephrase the bit where I said women don’t admit to it, what I meant was women are embarrassed by it, again, only saying what the women themselves said, not me

It brings a whole new complexion to squirting

I think I’m going to leave it at this, just one thing I want to make clear, this was not me knowing the facts or telling women this is the case, this topic arose from me watching two female women on this morning TV program, it was their words, not mine, that a small and very small percentage of women have had orgasms through child both, again, there words, one being a doctor and the other female being one who experienced this.

No good giving smart answers and giving out to me, I only posted a question two women and only one reply I seen today from a female who actually said, this is a thing but have to thank you for all your replies and your views

"I’ve just read back on some of the posts, and the ones that most astonished me are the ones from the female species themselves who don’t actually seem to know, this does happen, maybe not to you but it does

So, now you’re confused, is the stuff you’re reading on Facebook and TikTok and such the real truth or what you read on Google or even from those people who actually experienced it, are they telling the truth, this is why I asked the question earlier"

Good grief 🤦🏻‍♀️

It was one woman who you said shared her experience, you simply can not say women are embarrassed by it based upon what you've heard on here and on what you've just wrote..

Your contradicting yourself..

Do you know something, I’m going to give up on it since you have not bothered to research it yourself, when I said women, these were callers who called into the program and one woman herself live on the program along with the other female doctor, can I make it any clearer

With respect going by your posts you haven't researched it, which if you had you would have rephrased the opening post which later corrected..

Again you simply can't say women are embarrassed based upon one woman and now your adding there was a phone in?

How many phoned in do you recall?

I didn’t record it in my head, I just posed the question, there were two, three callers who called in, one of them being a midwife herself who experienced it, I’ll say no more about it apart from anyone who may be interested in watching this, go back on catch up or ITV player, I’m sure it’s on there

I’ve just had a little look into this, there are multiple female and male scientists, psychologists and obstetricians who have studied this over the years. Fascinating stuff. The female body is amazing.

It's truly extraordinary. Men have been studying it for thousands of years and still not located the clitoris.

Thank you for that, and like I said in my first post I caught a bit of it and my hands up, wasn’t a doctor but a midwife, but the basics of what I’ve been saying was there and hopefully in this link

The woman being interviewed explained that her husband stimulated her nipples and she stimulated her private parts. She talked about oxytocin etc.

Nothing was further from my mind when I was in labour but 🤷‍♀️

I'm laughing to myself now imaging midwives ditching gas and air and epidurals and wheeling in magic wands and nipple clamps.

I would have thought that an orgasm was the very last thing a woman wanted at such a time. I have seen one take a good shit though.
