That’s it’s ok for women to post about grey joggers, tightey whiteys etc but if a man posts he likes a certain look he’s sexualising women?
It pisses me the fuck off and always has.
I know not many men will comment, probably for fear of upsetting a lot of the women on here but men please know that not all women think like that.
I know some men do sexualise women this way and are leeches but for someone to post something they like to see and get comments like that is just pathetic.

In fact, I think there’s lots of women on here with your opinion Nora that think the forums are too hard on men. So agreeing with you wouldn’t lose them anything.
But anyway I do think that it is understandable that women get fed up of being sexualised considering like, it isn’t just something in certain spaces of the internet. It’s like everywhere for many women and in their day to day for some. It just isn’t for us. In fact I think men on the forum look forward to threads like that so they can show themselves off and be appreciated.

My job used to take me into at least a dozen pubs every single day.
The number of times I've been grabbed or groped by d*unk women was insane. I was literally jumped on by 20 women in a hen party who assumed I was the stripper. The landlady came to my rescue and told them to get the fuck out of her pub.
The following week the stag party for the same wedding was in that pub and they were having a dart and pool competition with no stripper and zero hassle.
I often wondered what would have happened if it had been the other way around and the stag party tried ripping the clothes off a random woman doing her job in the pub? |

If anyone thinks there isn't alot of double standards going on between genders at the moment, they are very mistaken.
Sadly, a portion of men, are absolutely c*nts and think that because a woman is showing leg and midriff, she is gagging for a shagging. These guys should all be looked in a hole somewhere. But because of their actions, many women now feel they can now never be inappropriate themselves.
Recently at work a female colleague put her hand on my thigh as we were talking about work. I didn't mind at all, but I did simply look down, look back at her, and say - Jesus imagine if I just put my hand on your thigh without consent?

Not man bashing here but something I’ve noticed is a lot of guys are enabling bad behaviour.
Don’t engage with anyone who thinks they’re doing you a favour, or think you must be desperate, or think you can’t afford to be picky because it’s “competitive” on here (huge sign of insecurity that is)
You’re not providing a service and receiving some interest from someone isn’t a privilege. Don’t be rude about it, speak to others with respect and have some for yourself. If others don’t show you it in return sack them off. Permanently 🚮

And yes definitely also depends who is saying it as some get away with way more than others and we all know it .

I don't think it is. I do think it's important to recognise the difference between posters like yourself who love the boings and those who complain about the sexualisation of women. Like Brucey said about some men having a disgusting attitude towards women. Some women have a rather abhorrent one of men. Some women find behaviour problematic. Some are just here to enjoy perving.
Is there a double standard on the forum? Absolutely. But weaker examples don't really demonstrate that. |

That's the difference isn't it? In a tighty whitey thread, that sexualisation is being invited. Celebrated. A woman at the gym sweating her balls off isn't wanting to be sexualised. At Asda picking up whatever you would in Asda.

I had a member of staff once who asked to be excused from going on a particular delivery route but he wouldn't say why.
When I asked if he had been threatened by someone he eventually admitted to being propositioned by a woman at a particular house where delivery drivers collected keys for a commercial premises they were delivering to. He said he was embarrassed because it made him look stupid for not enjoying the attention.
Years later a group of 5 young men in my dept approached me about sexual comments being made to them by a senior member of the office staff every time they went into the main office.
It was a issue at the time because a male member of staff had been taken through a disciplinary for similar comments towards a female colleague.
I asked that this woman also be taken to disciplinary for her actions but was told that the MD would have a quiet word with her as it wouldn't be a good look taking action against a woman and especially one who had been with the company for a few years.
The young men weren't happy about the double standard and told me that going forward they would not be reporting any inappropriate behaviour by male colleagues if there was one rule for them and another for women.
It's why I always point out the importance of whataboutery because it often has a knock on effect and shouldn't be ignored.
It's always one of the main reasons I left that company after 34 years a couple of months later I felt so strongly about the double standards and still do even on here where I'm not really that invested. |

it's a well made point. Given the fickle nature of the usual brigade and what side of the bed they have fallen out of (probably together) is the only variable in this logic. This probably ties in with the earlier point about who the OP is and what 'standing' they have and whether it's worth initiating the pile on.
I remember a comment being made by a guy regarding chloroform being the only means of pulling (or something like that). Fucking outrage. A very very similar comment made by a female 'darling' of the forums and it was met with laughter and jokes.

But to me at least I think in general women will say I like men in grey joggers, whereas men are more likely to post how they've seen some woman in the gym with skin tight leggings. I think sometimes this makes the difference in the kind of response people get maybe? |

You know why women get away with stuff that men get called out for on here; it's because there are far less women on here than men, they call the shots.
I'm more than happy for any Fab member to ask for pictures of Fab males in grey joggers, tighty-whities or even string vests; I won't respond to these requests, not because, as a male , I feel that I'm being sexualised, it's just that I not a performing monkey that's ready to dance to whatever tune when told to.
But this is the way that Fab is. There are dual standards on Fab and it's not as easy for a man to meet up with someone as it is for a Female or an MF couple but I'm happy with with the status quo - queue intro to Whatever you want.....
