P.S. don't know what you got to do there but if you have to touch anything make sure you have a good supply of protective gloves, some years ago I picked up some nasty disease on a farm supposedly spread by rats, had to have a course of antibiotics and the local authority had to be notified. |

This man speaks the truth!
We all have things we regret, picking that from the menu is one of mine.

Worked on a battery chicken farm when I was 19, the smell sticks to your clothing and your skin, embarrassing getting on bus to and from the farm..
Got the sack after 3 weeks, I was grateful for it.. no more smelly me.. |

"Working on a farm today not through choice.
I've always had a very weak gag reflex but the smell is something else in struggling not to be sick, keep gagging "
When I'm in this sort of inviroment it's face mask with lynx or sumthing sprayed on it, |

Worked on a farm for years before going self employed, it's just one of those smells you kinda get used to and I weirdly loved it.
Unless you're around ducks, those fuckers pong. |

To be fair having worked in a few voids following someone's death or gained entry to a property when someone has died in a dead body the smell is something you can smell for weeks no matter how many showers you have.
Or
A border with floor to ceiling decomposing rubbish in every room.
It's not like I'm not used to bad smells just have a very weak gag reflex regards smells always have ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

Ahhhh, ya can’t beat the smell of the countryside, apparently it gets right into your clothes an everything, that’s what people keep telling me anyway, was in the village shop a couple of days ago and someone said, “is that cow muck I can smell?”, the woman at the counter replied “ he always smells like that!” ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Next door but one to me is a cow field. I wouldn’t mind, but in the summer the farmer sprays shit all over it, and if the wind blows our way, it’s disgusting. Sometimes it could well be human waste he is stinking the place out with! |

I'm often perplexed why people choose to live in the countryside but then don't like the countryside ways of living. |

Human waste is supplied by the water companies, for farm use ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

Chicken, cow or even human waste has been used as fertiliser to grow food for centuries, for farms or even veggies in allotments, it's natural, it's organic, how else do you think things grow ? ![](/icons/s/2/eh.gif) |
