Movement will warm you and will improve your circulation.
A hot drink will quickly add heat inside of your body. Hot food would do me same but staying hydrated is important.
I get up every hour and move.
You can also do something to help your body stay warm l, such as adding an extra layer - clothing or a cover, of some type |

Pull your sofa into the middle of the room-away from the draughty window, put on a hat and scarf, place thick blanket on legs and encourage the dog to sit next to you.
She doesn't actually need much encouragement as she's a velcro dog.
My heating is up as high as the rest of the house can handle, and it wouldn't make a difference to my living room, anyway.
I think it needs exorcising. |

"My mum used to say
"He who chops his own wood warms himself twice".
So chop wood
You can interpret that any way you wantv "
Had a really satisfying morning splitting logs. Normally it takes a couple of blows. But because the were really cold, they just flew apart from a single blow - very satisfying.
Now warming in front of the log burner.
Double win. |

"Turn on your electric blanket and jump into bed."
I was wondering why no one was mentioning this lol.
I put my electric blanket on when I finish work and it’s so nice and warm when I get into bed |

I’m 1 of the lucky people who don’t tend to feel cold
But
Being an outdoor person all year round
You need to keep your head warm with a good quality hat hands warm with good gloves and feet warm with good socks and boots!
If I do tend to feel cold or chilly ever then I will warm my feet up ! Shower or bath etc…
This method also works the opposite too if when your hot cool your feet down! Ie cold shower bucket of water swimming pool sea etc….
So my genuine advice is warm your feet and hands the rest will look after itself! |
