They must have been old when they delivered them .

I usually call and tell the store if something's not right. They're usually very good.

I would and havecdone before but not for a £0.40p bag of carrots. It might be just the cold. I put them in the casserole hoping they might go stiff. Will see.

Yeah it's not really worth it for 40p.

I'm resisting the temptation to start double entendres

My biggest bug bear with home delivery is that across the stores it seems to be a common theme to send short shelf life products.

It seems they started doing it again. Years ago people complained and got a bit better but seems to have resurfaced.

I saw something on TV the other day, cut the tops and bottoms from the carrots, scrape and place in a jar of water, making sure to cover completely. You can refrigerate for up to 3 weeks, they will come out firm and crunch when snapped.

Well I sincerely hope that sticking your limp one in a casserole makes it stiff. There's simply nothing worse than a limp one in a meaty sauce

I hope they were in bags. I hate seen how some people touch bread etc with their hands when there are tongs there. Disgusting really.

I was out to lunch with a friend on Saturday. We had a sharing platter. She touched every damn thing on that plate. Then picked the bread up and put it back to choose a better piece. 👺

when it comes to fresh produce I can't be doing with home delivery. I've got to see it and fidget with it in person.

I just wanted to report that just had a delicipus plate of the caserole including the carrots and was just the business. Just goes to show, don't judge your carrot by how limp it is

Yeah I stopped clicking and collecting, as they always pick the shortest shelf ones so then I stopped ordering meat and veg, but then I'd have to go into the shop to buy them myself, so then it was defeating the object of clicking and collecting.

Plus you'd always get things missing from your order as out of stock but then when you I go in to get my meat they've been replenished.

So it wasn't saving me any time.
