Is giving birth more painful that getting kicked in the nuts
Jump to: Newest in thread
No. Giving birth is a natural thing. Some women have loads of kids so it can't be that bad.
However a kick in the balls isnt natural and the vast majority of men don't want it again.
This is may be in jest.
Or not. |

"Let me kick you repeatedly in the bollocks for 12+ hours, let find out
And torn perineum as a bonus "
Much more tearing to go with that too
Everything prolapsing and falling out/into itself afterwards. |

Birth must be more painful. Most guys put themselves in a position where they could be kicked in the nuts , with no gain ! , sports etc.
I'd give those sports a miss if I thought I'd be having a 4kg bundle being pushed out of any of my orifices.

My womb ruptured during the birth of our last. I was only on gas & air, and let me tell you... OUCH! I don't have nuts but I'm gonna be bold and say, I think that might've been worse than when our kid kicked Mr in the nads 😶😅 |

It can take a very long time for birth to take place. The baby doesn't just slide out easily in a few moments. |

"Pain is internal. So how would we know when no one can experience both xx"
No-one can experience both but I can ASSURE you that the pain is not all internal. Rip your perineum open and rip a hole in your anal sphincter and see how you feel. |

I imagine experiencing labour pains for 17+ hours, then ripping from fanny to arsehole to then subsequently having a placenta ripped out of you manually and being at the brink of seeing the pearly gates is probably more painful than a kick in the bollocks
🤷🏻♀️ |

I was very lucky in that both my births were relatively quick and without any complications, such as tearing.
I would still hazard a guess that childbirth might be a little more painful than a kick in the bollocks, not sure about man flu though ..... my husband let's me know how bad that is for sure. |

Well as someone who has done both I can safely say an old leather football on the back of the legs in a freezing frosty morning is worse that both.
And yes iam Male, but men can give birth now I've read it somewhere. |

Women have a higher pain threshold naturally and men don't. So maybe it could be equal... But there is no real way of knowing "
Yet, women's pain is dismissed over and over by medical professionals and they are more often fobbed off with anti depressants and CBT 🧐 |

There’s zero upside to being kicked in the balls.

My daughter has had a few footballs pelted off her thighs before but I'm sure she'd prefer that to the 20 odd hours each of having her two kids |

That's an entirely different discussion that would take over this thread and need a second one to continue the chat.
Not saying you're not right but there's a huge debate that can be had about that. I went though a similar thing with ex so I'm not saying you're wrong |

I suppose I'll never know how it feels to be kicked in the balls and you'll never know how child birth feels so I can't really help with this question. If I had to hazard a guess though I'd say child birth |

There is, but that only simulates the uterine contractions. That's not the whole story. |

The hilarity of women's attitudes on this is rather hypocritical. The amount of times we see "women's experiences get dismissed" yet oh so easily women are doing that to men on this thread simply based on bias of something they will never experience.
Neither will ever experience the other, so no definitive answer can be found. One is a prolonged pain (which we have all seen in one way or another play out), the other a high intensity pain (it really is no joke or exaggerated by men) that can briefly appear to render the body in shock.
However it really doesn't matter because the passing of a kidney stone is either equal to or worse than child birth for both men and women, and POTENTIALLY worse for men because of the much longer urinary tract and where the pain is concentrated.
So suck it ladies! |

I don't put stones in my mouth, thanks.
I was mainly irritated by the cheery LOL with regards to the fact some people have more than one child.
Whatever is the most painful is subjective to the individual. I mean, if we're into competitive pain, then something like CRPS or phantom limb pain should beat everything else hands down.
One irrefutable fact is that childbirth remains the most dangerous thing women will ever put their bodies through. Our society has forgotten that and as someone who did not come out of the other side unscathed, it really does irk me immensely. Half of all women will, for example, experience pelvic organ prolapse at some point in their lives. The biggest single risk factor for this and for incontinence (of both types) is pregnancy and childbirth. These problems are hidden away, never spoken about etc.
That's the end of my TED talk. |

Men get sounding, presumably to simulate some of the effects of passing kidney stones. Perhaps that's when they should be kicked in the nuts, so they are reveal all on it? |

After witnessing the births of my children, I have never seen anything as raw and human as my partner giving birth. It's a force of nature a privilege to witness and behold. Pointless comparing to the kick. It's a different order. |

You could never get a definitive answer for this as
1 men can't give birth
2 women don't have testicles.
However, giving birth vs kidney stones are said to be on par and the pain from kidney stones can go on a lot longer than child birth.
I've had kidney stones, so I'd say the lesser has to be a kick in the nads.
I've had that, too, playing rugby.
However, as yourself the question, after recovering from a kick in the nads, will a bloke say "Do it again!", but how many women say I want another baby.
Them females of the species is tough. Honey badger tough.

"Isn't there a machine that simulates the contractions during childbirth? I think we need a control group of men to agree to be hooked up to one so we can find out once and for all "
That and then push a melon out your arse, the contractions aren't anything compared to that.

Very subjective question really. Until we get a man/ woman with both sexual organs to give birth and be kicked in the balls we will never know the answer. I've seen people pass out from the pain of both. I've had a cricket ball to the nuts and was cold out for quite a few seconds. |

I think it depends really. Some people have pain as a result of giving birth that has lasted many years, in my case 35 so far. Maybe some men have similar pain from a swift kick to the testicles, I don't know 🤷♀️ |
