I wouldn't consider changing firms (I've been there since the beginning of time) - have looked at different roles, they are a bit scarce atm for various reasons..so I'm working on my retirement plan instead |

I am finally getting round to some DIY, putting some wall hooks up to display my collection of custom made wooden impact toys.
No point in hiding them in a cupboard when they are such beautifully crafted pieces of art |

New recipe every week.
Planning some trips.
A list of books/series to read.
Some work around boundaries and how I communicate.
Unless it’s Monday, Tuesday at a push, same rules apply on the first days back as when working between Christmas and New Year 😬 |

We went Pula it was nice, most head south towards Split or the Dalmatian coast. Found it quite cheap as it wasn't so Touristy.

Not for the foreseeable, no. Moving there FT seems totally impossible thanks to that thing beginning with B. No Spanish business needs Brits, who require work visas when there's plentiful people from the EU. At the hotel we stayed in, the single British staff member no longer works there and she'd been there since before our first trip in 2013/14. All EU staff. I speak enough Spanish but Mr KC doesn't and so that's another problem as we'd need both incomes AND I'm a massive healthcare liability.
So nope. Not happening sadly  |

I don't really get them. Did a bit when younger. I quite like this time of year, I feel like I'm meant to go at a slower pace. Hibernate and recuperate and cocoon and spend time doing low energy things that bring me joy. With people that bring me joy.
I'm going to be making sure I keep up with vitamins, that I get enough sleep. Go out for long walks, swimming and see people I love. That's enough for me. ❤️ |

Not for the foreseeable, no. Moving there FT seems totally impossible thanks to that thing beginning with B. No Spanish business needs Brits, who require work visas when there's plentiful people from the EU. At the hotel we stayed in, the single British staff member no longer works there and she'd been there since before our first trip in 2013/14. All EU staff. I speak enough Spanish but Mr KC doesn't and so that's another problem as we'd need both incomes AND I'm a massive healthcare liability.

I've had 17 days off, I'm back in tomorrow night for 1 shift, then off for 4 days again. I'm really not looking forward to going back, and I'm currently suffering with the January blues. Went out for a walk earlier to clear my head, but came back fuzzier than when I left. This shitty weather isn't exactly helping the situation. |

I feel quite positive considering it’s the 1st Jan. I’m usually ankle deep in self woe by now.
I am currently browsing Pinterest for self care lists that don’t mention meditating. I feel like the way to go in 2025 is with plenty of self love and a positive outlook on life.

"I don't really get them. Did a bit when younger. I quite like this time of year, I feel like I'm meant to go at a slower pace. Hibernate and recuperate and cocoon and spend time doing low energy things that bring me joy. With people that bring me joy.
I'm going to be making sure I keep up with vitamins, that I get enough sleep. Go out for long walks, swimming and see people I love. That's enough for me. ❤️

Trying to avoid thinking about it but failing. CBA replying to the nonsense from the in-laws and want more than anything to be back in my beloved Spain 🇪🇸

Not for the foreseeable, no. Moving there FT seems totally impossible thanks to that thing beginning with B. No Spanish business needs Brits, who require work visas when there's plentiful people from the EU. At the hotel we stayed in, the single British staff member no longer works there and she'd been there since before our first trip in 2013/14. All EU staff. I speak enough Spanish but Mr KC doesn't and so that's another problem as we'd need both incomes AND I'm a massive healthcare liability.
So nope. Not happening sadly

Yeah Jan is always the hardest time for me... generally a happy positive person but Jan is so dark and normally uneventful.
