Not in general. We have told people we thought would be fine with it and they were.
I do know a couple who came out to their oldest child, a teenager, and she kind of already knew. They are forumites and might care to comment. |

No. Why would I? I don't discuss my sex life with people. Not that I am a swinger but... nope.
I am thinking about my introducing my sister/a brother to the boyfriend when I'm next down. He's the first one I've had where I've felt safe and secure enough and trusted him enough to be open about the poly side of things with my family. It's a lovely feeling. |

I'd have no interest in sharing that. Although a close friend revealed it to me that she was. She was very vulnerable at the time with a broken heart. We are still great friends and no I didn't as the age gap is too much. |

I don't tell family, but I announced it to my friends over a curry.
Mixed reviews from them....most find it really exciting. Yet bizarrely the younger who are all on tinder meeting lots of different people really don't get it at all. |

What is the modern obsession with broadcasting and publicising every aspect of our lives, including our sex lives?
Nobody, and I mean nobody, including your nearest and dearest, needs to know you're a swinger. Unless they're in a room where swinging might take place.

I've told new partners about it as honesty is important. Some are very interested, some are not!
Plus I've told my closest mate, but that was as part of a much longer conversation about my relationships and emotions. Bit of unpaid counselling!!!

I have to tell any partner about my crossdressing as it’s something that will eventually come out. The majority of the time it’s fine but relationships in the early stages have failed for this one reason alone. Only a select group of friends know about me and they are very trustworthy.
But unless it’s something you intend to carry on with a new partner I can’t understand why you would want to ‘out yourself’.
It’s your sex life not something you have a compulsion to do, so in my opinion keep it to yourself. |

Our 2 best friends (2 couples) know about it but no one else. They are very curious and ask us questions about that lifestyle. It's good to have friends to confide in from time to time and is the source of some fun and entertaining conversations, all good though. |
