This is NOT a thread criticising choice of eyebrow style. But, is there a reason so many miss the brow line, both professional and amateurs alike? I've noticed a lot of permanently surprised looking people recently |

I’ve seen a lot of advice on tik tok about youthening your face by raising your features, ie eyebrows ending pointing upwards rather than downwards, blusher right under the eye etc. Maybe the people you see are trying out the look? |

I see it a lot in alt makeup looks.
It’s a great trick if your face needs a little lift or if you have a smaller lid space.
People also just follow makeup trends rather than just going with what fits their facial features best.

"This is NOT a thread criticising choice of eyebrow style. But, is there a reason so many miss the brow line, both professional and amateurs alike? I've noticed a lot of permanently surprised looking people recently" Surely that's a prerequisite of being on here .

Maybe. I wondered if there was an actual reason because I've seen it so many times |

I sport a pair of mildly trimmed caterpillars. They would be one big, hungry-looking caterpillar if I didn't shave off the connection at the bridge of my nose. They're kind of 1980s Nigel Mansell at the moment.
I know what you mean, though. I've seen eyebrows Walt Disney would have been proud of drawing on. |

"Mine make me look like a slightly benevolent psycho. I’ll kill you. But only a little bit. And you’ll get a biscuit.
You can kill me twice for three biscuits?"
It’s one biscuit per little bit of death. Double layer biscuits such as Oreos, bourbons, custard creams count as one biscuit I’m not (that) mean. |

"I'm Goth so sometimes none at all! but I do like a sceptical brow or a 90s black line lol
Judgy brows apparently ha ha 😂 "
In the 70s we used to pluck our brows to a very thin line. A lot of women my age have very thin brows as a result. My parents couldn't understand why I did it but I thought I looked great. |

It's a trend. Like the early 00s when women were shaving their brows and they were really, really thin.
I've never done anything to mine but that's out of sheer laziness. I hope the bushy untamed brows come back in fashion. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |
