When you post a thread do you feel like you should try and respond to what people say, secretly stalk it to see who says anything or what is said or log off and hope when you log back on it’s hit the elusive 175!

I no longer think about it. I'll reply to who I want about what I want. I used to reply to everyone but it got exhausting.
I rarely ever post serious stuff anymore that require me to respond. I'll drop in with something comical, a bit troll like maybe.
Mostly my threads are mini grenades, either something to make people look or be very vague and just see where the life of the thread leads without my involvement. |

I don't create threads for the numbers. I create them for the qualitative effect and the compelling content filled by the remarkable forum-dwellers. The threads thrive or they wither away. I'm not fussed. |

The OP is the leader the discourse, the conductor of discussion and as such feels the pressure to acknowledge responses and encourage engagement from all angles. Miss one person and risk it all being for nothing when some incel accuses you of only responding to the ladies
Hence you should only start a thread here if the topic is thoroughly fascinating, or you really need the latest answers to life's deepest questions, like "length or girth?" or "how do I get my wife into swinging?" |
