I can't talk for all ladies but I was relentlessly bullied as a child. I was curvy, geeky and generally just the odd kid. I was told the most horrible things. I only had one proper boyfriend in high school and i was a secret because he couldn't stand the embarrassment if someone found out.
Needless to say my self esteem never formed. All I'd known was a bad body image.

When you tell a guy he’s handsome, what does this actually mean? I’ve heard it too much with zero interest from the people saying it. The word almost has no meaning for me which sucks as it’s the only complimentary word I’m ever awarded.
