My profile is that long for a purpose, as it helps me to sort out the desirables from the undesirables.
The maths question was not original - Polo gave me that idea! |

"It says that as we are both busy people basically not to message asking for a meet as we are not always available....when we are a meet will be posted"
So why not hide your profile until you are ready to put meet up? |

I've just looked at your profile and no I'm not pushy and would not message you to ask for a meet. I like to chat and get to know people before asking anyone for a meet but that's me |

Too many just sit and wait for others to contact them....
They seem to think it is the job of the single men to do all the running!
If it bothered you that much, you would take advice given...but no, you would miss the messages |

I don't understand why you simply don't block all messages until you post a meet then.....no messages then...simples. |

Your first three longer paragraphs are negative, list of don't do's. Maybe people are switching off and not bothering to read further down.
But in all honesty if people want to message you, regardless of warnings on your profile they will. All of us get messages outside our preferences. I personally don't reply, others may just delete.
If you don't want to do those things then either hide your profile or block everyone and only message when you're looking. That is the only way to stop it, otherwise accept it. |

"Is it impossible for people to actually read profiles! "
What about people who bleat about not getting meets, ask for advice on changing their profile, receive loads of constructive advice then totally fail to act on aforementioned advice? In my book just as daft! |

Yes! I've even put a quote on my file for people to type doesn't work one bit! I've started blocking when they don't read |

I would of thought its just a guide, if you read many profiles on here the actual meets bare no resemblence to the persons profile, for instance many will specify an age range, but when you read their verifications it shows they meet people outside of this, so wouldnt that suggest to someone interested that they may have a chance, its not set in stone but used for a guide I think |

_ooking4you69 yours is a typical example of what I just stated previously, your age range clearly states 35+ and yet your verification shows youve met a guy of 31, if you cant abide by your own requirements how can you moan about people contacting you outside of them, if I were 31 (oh I wish) id of thought its worth a try contacting you. |

"That's my point.....we do
Like I said was just wondering what other people's point of view was on the topic" I find that only the rare few actually read my whole profile and send the requested face pic. Did have a password but ive taken it out because that didnt appear at all in msgs. The ones who dont send a pic just get deleted but I dont block them unless they msg back getting nasty |

Most can read but you have to think on some can only cut and past to a third of profiles if they actually read them maybe even less.
What you have is a mix of fishermen or women on here some use rod and line some pole and some use a huge net to try to get to everyone. |

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds) |
The site provides tools to help me,,
people not reading a profile in its own way is a filter ,,
If a profile interests me I read it all,,,, especially the " fill it in later,,"

OP - In all seriousness (makes a change!) you're complaining about something which YOU have the ability to control. If your message filters are set wide open, it doesn't matter how many times you say 'DO NOT MESSAGE US' in your profile - people, sorry, twats are going to do it.
If what you want is an easier life, then set your filters right and hide your profile until you put up a meet, then let the flood gates open.
Otherwise, just accept that site tools are there as much for you as they are for anyone else. You have a choice - you can whinge about it OR.... shock! horror! - YOU can DO something about it...
Your call.... |

I used to have a full stop as my profile. I'd get mail saying they loved my profile. When I asked which bit, they clearly went and read it for the first time... And never mailed again.
