It's not rude not to reply.
Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

If I’m not interested I delete and block. I’m one of the few women who hasn’t said how much abuse they get for saying no, because I don’t reply. I’m not rude, in fact I’m very nice. I pop on here every now and then for a few minutes. I’m not going to spend my time answering loads of messages if I’m not interested. No chance. |

It takes 5 ish seconds to write “no thanks” and send, but then you can guarantee that guy will send another message!! Which you then have to either reply again or ignore/ block. Multiply that by 50-100 a day.
It’s quite simple, no reply= no thanks.
A tip though, if I delete the message it means “not interested and never will be”
If I read the message and don’t reply but don’t delete. It stays in my inbox cos it means there is a small chance I’ll come back to it later…. But that’s pretty rare too

If somebody writes us a half-decent message, we'll reply. The vast majority of the messages we receive are absolute, utter shit and do not warrant a reply. Replying "No thanks" to them requires more effort and consideration to them than they have shown us, so they are not going to get one.
You should also remember that replying circumvents any filters somebody puts on. If we block single men from contacting us, that filter won't apply to all those people I have replied "No thanks" to. Why should we enable them to keep contacting us when we're not interested?
Why do you need a reply from somebody who is not interested anyway? It won't change anything. We don't have any responsibility to let you down gently. People aren't interested. You're just going to have to live with that. Lots of people we like aren't interested in us. Somehow we get by and carry on with life. You can too. |

What if Fab had a popup, for the first couple of hundred messages new users send to a new contact, that reminds me of the FAQ, 'no reply = no thanks'?

I used to reply to all messages but some are just "Hey" so does that mean they want to meet?
It's in our profile that we don't reply to shadow profiles or dick pics so if someone hasn't read that they don't get a reply. |

Women and couples get bombarded with messages. Some even get 300+ messages and messages that exceed a thousand. It is impossible and impractical to reply to all. I wouldn't reply to all if mine were like that. So that is why. Most aren't being ignorant intentionally. |

I do, however, get annoyed when a message remains completely unread for weeks, by someone who regularly online, posting about wanting meets etc.
Biggest pet hate, however, are those people that are so negative they fill their entire profiles with an incredible list of the things they don't want - and then insist you read their dissertation of misery all the way to the end, and prove it by putting the word 'antelope' (etc.) in your subject header! |
