I have my reasons but why are guys doing it later in life?

This is my own personal opinion. Later in life you are more inclined to try new experiences as you realise you only live once. Also society has become more open about people's sexuality and thus guys feel less guilty or stigmatized. Then there is the induction of internet sites like this that make looking for like-minded people much easier.

I agree with all that.

Remember that until the full reform of the sexual offences act in 2003 it was illegal for more than two men to engage in anal sex or solicit sex in public. Even in 1998 men were being convicted for group fun. In Scotland those laws weren’t repealed until 2013

So maybe lots of men had thoughts and urges but felt they couldn’t act on them, society’s attitude to being bi or gay is now changing and more people are exploring their sexuality with the freedom to do so

This is very true. It is or now seems to be easier to explore your sexuality and society seems more open. I remember when I first started exploring my sexualitty that I often felt ashamed afterwards.

Because for the first time in nearly 50 years of life…..I haven’t hated myself for my bisexuality, I’ve embraced it. Telling my wife about it was liberating and energising.

Because they have already trapped the poor woman. They have already established their secrecy alternative life and it's safe to be who they want to be at this current age.. easier to remain a discreet "fantasy" easier to say it's just a "kink" and not their full sexuality.

Some men and women are like that; others are open about their sexuality. May only explore it after they become single again.

She was and still is, very supportive, enjoys being a part of the journey with me, and is about as cool with it as you could possibly want.

That is really good to hear - she is happy with you exploring?

Better to be open; not having to bottle things up made things so much easer

I remember telling Brunette that I'd gained a curiosity... scariest thing ever!

Was super accepting and really wants to be part of the exploring.

Shame more aren’t brave enough to do so, either not accepting it themselves or for fear of not being accepted.

Been married 25 years, but since I was young always had them thoughts in my head. Only very recently decided to try it.
