Star Wars or Star Trek?

Come on sci fi geeks which is your fave?

Mine is Star Wars and I loved it since I was a kid, me and my brother Lee loved it.

I've managed to save lots of toys I had and got a few autographs at conventions

Can't I like both?

SW = the original 3 films though, with ESB being my favourite.

Of all the ST films, ST IV Voyage Home is my favourite.

I have no problem with either Orion Slave Girls or Princess Leia's in gold bikini's. Either separately or in a bed-breaking genre mash-up!

..oh the stories I could tell from when I used to run Sci Fi conventions!

Will be trekking to the flicks to see the new Star Trek fillum, had heard a rumour that Benedict Cumberbatch's character was Khan (my fave Star Trek fillum was Wrath of Khan) but apparently not - will still go to see it though as I enjoyed the last one with Chris Pine playing young Kirk...did like Star Wars original 3 but not so keen on the last ones - probably wouldn't bother with any others

Like star wars just started watching all films over the next couple of days with my 11 year old because he loves it

but absolutely star trek for me

Got to be star wars without a doubt just no comparison in quality. Star wars had the toy spin off which kept the boys of my childhood amused for hours on end and christmas was always really special if you got one of the spaceships, millenium falcon was my favourite present ever as a child, im not that keen on the new films they made just the original three where they used models for the sets instead of the green screen and cgi.

Both have their good and bad points, but for me it has to be trek. BSG (the modern one) was good as well

Trek is better sci-fi, SW is flavoured with more fantasy. Trek for me I'm afraid ...

I'd prefer Stargate to either though ...

If they were done well then Dune and Hyperion would be even better ...

Star trek films are good apart from the first one which was just confusing. Star Trek TNG is better TV series. Picard over Kirk any day

First three Star Wars films were good but since then they have been very poor

Trek wins on all counts
