I have to admit it might have been Gary Glitter. Such a shame he let everyone down so badly as it was an absolutely incredible show. I like everyone else though completely conned by him at the time. |

I went to his show with my Nan when I was 30 and she was 70. We were both too old for him so we were safe to go. Got dressed up though and wore a silver suit and wig. It was a terrific show. |

Savage Messiah. I had never heard of them before. Decided I really needed to go out and see a band. Was close by, cheap and like the week after booking the tickets. Glad I went, they were amazing and really set me up to go see other bands. Still don't listen to any of their music though |

I was very young and a friend's Dad drove us, but my first gig trumps all of these: Colston Hall, Bristol, a very long time ago; Mott The Hoople and a strange new band nobody had ever really heard of as support, called Queen. Don't know if they ever came to anything or not..... |

Ah, they weren't good. Poppy middle of the road stuff that appealed to normies. I went because it was in freshers week and it was a party.
We didn't get any international bands worth spit in SA because of the cultural boycott for being the Bad Guys. |

As far as my parents are concerned, it was going to see Fall Out Boy.
In reality my first gig was a band called HIM. Sadly in Villes less sober days so less of a great experience musically but still epically good, got me hooked on live music anyway. |

However my genre of music is rock and heavy metal and my first rock gig was shinedown in cardiff with asking alexandria as a supporting act 3 years ago. Since then I have packed alot of gigs into my life and now live for them.
Been to download festival 2 years in a row and booked to go next year too. Just love my music |

Technically correct but there was a shortish intro by the pit orchestra. I can't remember what they played. We were right in the gods and could barely see a thing. |

First real heavy band I saw was Black Sabbath supported by Budgie at the old Liverpool Stadium 1972-ish. It usually held boxing/wresting contests, so the was a boxing ring in the middle. |
