What car you drive and why you love that car

I've gone EV. As a self confessed petrol head, I was dreading the change (company car). But now that I have it...I actually love it. It's smooth, quiet, comfortable, easy to drive, and surprisingly spritely! |

I drive an Audi Q5 55 TFSI e quattro S line Competition, in white with black quilted pattern seats (I love the interior). I have had this car for almost 2.5 years.
I always had old cars and my last car was a clio which I had for 10 years until she went to car heaven.
I wanted an SUV style car because I had been driving my father's BMQ X1 for a few months when he was poorly, and it got me enjoying the SUV driving position.
My car is also great for taking our dog out, and the car has enough space for all of our camping stuff.
We recently bought a Nissan Navara truck as hubby's work van was wrecked outside our house. This now means that our next car could be slightly downsized if we wanted.

Aston Martin Volante- Love - the colour and the noise it makes.
Hate- the general infotainment controls- too much is screen based and i’d like more buttons
VW amarok-Love- Does most things an Aston Martin cant and is actuallu pretty comfy and quiet for what it is.
Hate- parking the sodding thing. It doesnt fit in a standard space.
Hubby’s Cayman GT4 occasionally
Love- Handles really well
Hate- optional seats it has- bum numbing after an hour

recently switched to EV, got BMW IX xDrive40, initially I didn’t like it as I moved driving from 520d sedan, which is still one of the best ones made by BM..but now I love my IX, smooth, and with B/W speakers, sound is amazing..I don’t feel bored going on long drives too…but it’s only doing 2.4/KW/hr with battery size 76.6 KW, not sure if this standard with EVs so have to plan my journey carefully.. |

I drive a BMW 6 Series GT which I love for it's space and economy, it's good on fuel, the boot can swallow most things which is great when you have buggies and the like, but it's an absolute pain in the ass to find suitable parking spots as it's very long. |

Ford Puma. Swap it on the options scheme every 2 years. Doesn't cause me any issues and I know where all the buttons are. If I change make then I'd not feel at home in the car. I've only ever driven Ford |

Average old C-max ..
Get all my stuff in it , have enough room to boil a kettle on the camping grill without burning the roof (unlike my poor astra) ..
But I'd happily trade it for another Frontera 4x4 - could fit an airbed in that as well |

Peugeot diesel.
Very good mileage, decently comfortable and reliable. Other people use it.
I don't really care if it gets dings and scratches. Nobody is going to rob it and leave me having to deal with insurance crap.
I used to like nice cars but traffic, cameras etc. Driving is just a chore now a car won't change that. |

I appreciate you are probably talking about the new puma , but hubby gets very wistful about an old racing puma he had, constantly searching the usual sites for an"just the same" replacement.
He's reached that age where I think he's trying to buy back his youth |

Never really been interested in cars except TV and movie cars.
Still think that the 1974 Ford Falcon XB Sedan from the Original Mad Max movie was the best. Quickly followed by the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokie and the Bandit. |

I drive a 2019 BMW M4 competition.
Love - the performance and noise it makes when giving it the beans
Hate - how it costs £1,400 to replace 4 tyres, and a 3.0 turbocharged engine isn’t exactly economical. |

As she said, my main drive is the Nissan
Love that it's really comfortable and the high driving position.
Love the 360 camera.
I quite like the agricultural sound of the big twin turbo diesel engine.
Impressed with the economy. I do make a conscious effort not to hammer it most of the time and the result is I'm averaging over 40mpg from a big heavy truck.
Hate? The trail gate isn't on the central locking - a relatively cheap fix. Also want to get a hard cover to increase load space in the rear.
Other hate? Bloody Adblue.

Not quite the same but hubby has a yet to be settled urge for a Tr7 with a Kermit green interior.
I have no clue why.
I did try telling him a TR6 was the last "proper" Triumph but he's having none of it |

Volvo XC60... I was going for a Land Rover Disco Sport until I got the insurance quote so opted for this.
It's okay. Lots of power, drives like a car, super comfortable on long rides, almost all the toys you could want (missing heated steering while and speed limiter), but it's happiest on the motorway and I just don't do those miles anymore.
I'll be changing in the New Year but not sure what to. Ford Edge maybe... |

As a self employed chap I pretty much spend all the time in my work van.
Comfy, carries stuff and gets me around!
Never really been a petrol head that way.
Now if you asked what bike I liked that would be very different |

20 year old Suzuki Grand Vitra.
Bought it for peanuts and have abused it with work for the last two years. It'll tow anything and drive over anything.
Fuel economy absolutely sucks though.

Mazda CX-30. Love the fuel economy. Just over 50 m/gallon.
Hate the fact the windscreen steams up at the drop of a hat. To the point you have to park up, with the windows open and A/c on, to shift the condensation. |

Not a car but a Vito
Love being able to throw all manner of wet muddy kit in the back and not need to care about it damaging seats etc. And being able to change in it and sleep in it.
Hate nothing much. Repairs aren’t cheap nor is insurance or tax but that applies to pretty much any vehicle I have.
My Astra was one of my favourites. 1.6l petrol, nothing special, I got her to 210k with no major work until a tree fell on her in a storm and killed her off |

Like excellent B road thrasher. quiet doesnt pop and bang. Its a toyota.
cons - small inside fits like a glove. Driving at 60 on the motorway I only get 45mpg. Drive it as god intended and its mid 20s.
my real love though is my bike rsv4 1100. The noise is better than sex.
cons - 2 tyres after 2K miles is £400

I love the reversing camera, that it handles the rough terrain by the lake and has plenty of room for me to put my bike in the back (with rear seats down)

Merc - Love it as it's 400bhp, yet has 4 doors and acts as a family car
Hate it as it gets uncomfy after 2 hours driving 911 - Love it as it's

Hate it as it's expensive to run, and every part has "Porsche tax"
