As a single I used POF, Tinder and OK Cupid both for dating and hook ups. Not sure if it's still the same (was about 8 years ago) but all of them had reasonable usability without paying for full access.
In many ways I enjoy OK Cupid the most because you could also search/be matched by sexaul preferences and attitudes to alternative lifestyles and non-monogamy. Although the down side was fewer users on this platform. |

Hing (e) is the easiest, but for god sakes be normal. Nice pictures, and a fun chilled profile. Then you can message pretty endlessly, unless I did pay I can't remember.
Bumbl (e) next easiest, have to match based on profile alone (can't have a witty message) so again nice pictures and funny profile. Take it slower with these ladies! Fun silly chat for a while!
Feel (d) is then useful for having women in the kink scene. But women get all the messages (no different to here) so - again have a great profile (but can be more kinky straight to the point focussed and teasing pics) and I usually just focus on the ones with a verified (M) next to them and like those. Liking any profile without an M is a waste of time, you won't get seen.

Found all of them awful to be honest. Most guys on apps pretending to want a relationship so they could get a shag .... at least on here guys are upfront about wanted sex .... of course they may lie about other things.
You get the catfish, liars and cheaters on here and on apps.

For dating, I tried both M*tch and B*mble and hated both. T*nder was great for hook ups as opposed to dating - worked well anywhere in the world. Tried F*eld multiple but it was full of weirdos and each time I deleted it after a couple of days. If I was looking to date I'd join a (non-sex) group and try to meet IRL as I genuinely believe it is hopeless using dating apps. |
