This is why a social is important,no financial obligations you get to meet face to face and get to know if there's chemistry.
Mrs may have a couple of socials with someone before playing usually one with myself present to make sure I don't get serial killer vibes and one alone so she can open up a bit more.
But each to their own and I guess lesson learned OP.
Hopefully it wasn't a mega expensive hotel. |

My thoughts were to have a couple of socials first before shelling out for hotels and this confirms that's probably the better way.

Had this before. It happens. Go out, have a nice meal, get a drink, flirt at a bar or treat yourself to some me time. As I don't have a TV or a shower I'd be making the most of those. |

Just something totally random, like a picture holding a spoon.
It's just a step to help show they're genuine. |

Was this a first time meet with this woman? Had she agreed to meet you in a hotel room, with the notion that full sex was the intention for both parties?
You have had successful meets with other single ladies, what (if anything), did you/they do differently those times?
Did the hotel have a public bar area, could you have arranged to meet for a coffee/drink, but had the room booked ‘just in case’…..? She may have felt less pressure if it was primarily a social meet…..
Was she actually a woman? Don’t laugh; it’s a real problem in here……

That’s great if you have a club on your doorstep, not so great when it’s a 2 hour drive to reach one, then (as in the OP’s case), you’re restricted to when single guys are ‘allowed’ entry, plus add in gender-biased entry fees……..just for a social? So you don’t connect face to face, but there’s loads of other potentials in the club right? Not usually lol…….

I was let down on a meet today too…. I hadn’t booked a hotel thankfully but had spent considerable time getting ready and planning my work to make time, only to be given a rubbish excuse last minute. Using the time for some self care. Xxx |

I still got catfished after swapping ‘normal’ photos and doing a phone call. Video call first only for me and meeting in public, but then I don’t go to clubs. You don’t have to give your number out to call, Telegram lets you message without swapping numbers.

Glad to hear things improved for you OP. I generally stay away from booking a hotel/make sure it's somewhere I cancel last minute if I don't know the person really well. Or if I'm a bit uncertain if things will go ahead, cancel and then book one on the day.
