Generation facephone trends... specifically the one I read waking this morning starting every post with "what a privilege" ending with some look at me, a humble brag, or a how are your 1st world problems, so:
What a privilege it is to do the washing, cooking, ironing
What a privilege it is to be in a 3hr queue for my flight

What really started it was a specific post showing dustbin men when they used to carry the bin on their shoulder. The text said 'this was real graft'. Yep let's wind the clock back to when men were knackered in their 50s with back problems and rsi. |

Kind of the opposite - people complaining how much harder they had it in their day, and insisting this generation could afford a house if only they gave up coffee, etc. We have an unhealthy obsession in this country with being the generation that had it hardest, even though it's bollocks. |

I'm really glad I'm not trying to date. It was really easy when I was young. You went out, met someone, went on dates. Men weren't shy to strike up conversations at the bus stop, on the train etc either but they also knew how to accept a polite refusal. From what I read now it seems that people have lost their way.

I'm really glad I'm not trying to date. It was really easy when I was young. You went out, met someone, went on dates.
