When was the last time someone made you feel special?

I’m apparently blessed.
Work colleagues, family, FB’s, work clients. I get words of affirmation daily. It’s whether I choose to actually listen & accept them. If I don’t - then I don’t feel special - but that’s on me. |

Most days. Or that's how I choose to interpret it, anyway.
Every time my kids want to have a chat, or when I make my friends laugh, or when my siblings send me a ridiculous cat picture. It's connection.
I've just spent the last 3 days at a wellness retreat for people with cancer (my friend has breast cancer and she asked me to be her emotional support human). Every little glimmer of connection with those we love is special.

Late last night I got a call from a friend that I haven't met up with in 5yrs. We laughed so much about the fun we've had in the past and connected once again in a massive way. She's invited me away for a little adventure next month and it's made me feel very special indeed. 🥰 |

There are some lovely examples on here, but it’s also sad to read how many can’t remember the last time. I’m one of them. But we’re a fun community in this here forum and everyone that contributes is a part of that. You are all special and a valuable member of this community. Your personalities suggest that you are special to others, too. I’m sure they feel that even if they don’t tell you.

Um. Most, if not all days.
The people I adore are always showing me what I mean to them. From physical affirmations to stupid little jokes to checking in on me both when I'm down to give me help or up to share my joy.
I can't think of any particularly big traditionally romantic gestures. But I don't need those. They prove to me how special I am to them constantly 💜 |

Probably about a month or two ago when I spoke to my uncle.
Him & his wife always end the conversation with, " We love you very much." X
I guess you get to feel special on a micro level sometimes on this forum also.. |

My 11 year old son.
We were talking about funerals (don’t ask why it was a long conversation) and I said, will you be at mine ?
He replied ‘of course you’re my Dad’
I know it’s not much, but he almost made me cry. It’s nice to know you’re loved so much it’s an obvious silly question to ask. |

I had a proper cuddle off my big fluffy dog earlier. You’ve not been cuddled until you’ve been cuddled by a BIG dog. 🐕❤️🥰
My kids make me feel special too, but they have a knack of bringing you back down to earth in the same sentence so ……I don’t count that!  |

This weekend. Birthday presents perfectly and carefully thought out. Meant an awful lot.
Someone not eating nuts. That was very sweet.

last year on my birthday, a fb freind sent me a vid at midnight of him singing happy birthday naked waggling his wang about, it was hilarious, not his wang but the dancing and singing. I felt pretty special then lol I wonder what he'll do this year 🤔 😅 |

Last weekend, my kid while ill came up to me with his blanket and cuddled in to my arms. With biggest smile before going back to sleep actually made me feel good that he wanted me but then he went and sneezed into my shirt but still felt good. |

Yesterday..my friend from back home know I like his voice and so does one of my ex coworkers so he made me a filthy voice note and mentioned her name in it goo...like 2 school girls we've been all giggling girly horny and blushing |

Looking after my granddaughter a while back and she said to me "I love you granddad, You're my best friend"
10 minutes later I said to her "daddy's home". She went running to the door and said "Oh good. I love daddy, he's my best friend"
I think she still loves me despite being demoted.

I try my best to make anyone around me feels special ... depends on the person if it's in a nice way or the special bus way but I do try.
I know I'm special in my own way and yes i crave someone making me feel a special to them but I've got used to having low expectations in that category so why stress about it 🤷🏼♀️ |

Tuesday night. For my birthday a wonderful man I met on here presented me with a couple of bunches of flowers, and a bottle of champagne, which he’d purchased from a vineyard in France a few years ago and had a lovely sentiment attached to it. |
