Day of the dead ( the original george a romero one in the 80s set in an underground bunker)
The midnight meat train - an over the top film based in a Clive barker novel. Entertaining.
Both the zombieland films.
The dead zone, the Cronenberg film based on stephen kings story.
Twilight zone the movie. 4 short stories with 4 different directors.

The haunting of Hill house series on netflix was really good
There's so many films to mention like Winnie the Pooh one , quite demented but recently saw Terrifier 3 ,
I'm not normally squeamish with gore but I did like the Terrifier character esp Terrifier 3 that was pretty horrific loved it
A great disturbing horror is the film The Visit by the brilliant M night Shyamalan with the grandchildren who make a film about their grandparents on a visit to them when they start acting weird and that famous adult diaper scene |

The director did a film called "under the silver lake" which I though was weird, but good. |

I see a film bout guys that went to the Amazon and got hunted by a tribe , it's like a modern version of them cannibal films , scary as fuck , il have to look thru my dvds to get the name , it terrified my X missus as she's from Argentina and lived near the Amazon , she thought it was real |

I didn't know they were thinking of making a second series, I expect Stephen King said no, seeing as the series was based on his book, can't see where they would go with it in a second series tbh. |

Just watched Spike Lee's Da Sweet Blood Of Jesus, which is a remake of a 70s horror film called Ganja & Hess. It's about a guy who gets a blood addiction when stabbed with a historical blade. And then a beautiful woman arrives at his remote house...
It's a vampire film but without the usual trappings of the genre (I.e. fangs, bats, not being able to go out in daylight). It's also pretty sexy. The original film was low budget but notable for being a horror film with black leads - very unusual for the time. |
