Chippenham Malmesbury area |
"I would sit next to you on the bus, definitely. I would rather sit next to a man than the frosty old lady I say next to last week."
Have a heart, she was only frosty because the government has st0len her Winter Fuel Allowance.
And yes OP, I'd sit next to you on public transport, I love to chat and judging by your posts, I think you'd be a great conversationalist. |

Yes if I'd met you in person previously or there were no seats where I could sit alone. I don't usually sit next to people I don't know, years of commuting gave me a healthy respect for personal space on trains and buses.
If you need to sit next to a stranger do you say "hello"? I do. |

People avoid sitting next to me on the bus, Pickle.
I see them glance at me, check out the rest of the bus and sit anywhere but next to or opposite me.
They only do it if the bus is full and there's no other option.
I think it may be because I take up a lot of room, but then, there's the 4 seats together option that they avoid if I'm in one of the seats. They'll always pick the other 4 seat area, even if there's 3 people already sitting there.

"What if it was just us... Would that be weird
Ew. Yes.
😭😭😭
Have to get him on the back seat, Midnight, and we'll sandwich him!
Next stop is mine. "
Just me and Daisy bouncing up and down on the back seat then what will we do with ourselves |

"I don’t see the point of the question??? Are there a lack of seats or do you just want someone to sit next to you? "
The point of the question is crystal clear.
The O.P. wants to know if you would sit next to him on public transport.

If there was free seats then no, because you know, people.
If it was a choice between you and someone else (unless that someone else was hot and bearded and tattooed and had work gear on) I'd sit next next to you pickles. Just don't make conversation. |

I don't sit next to strangers if I have a choice. I'm pretty sure that's normal behaviour for the majority of people.
So are you asking the people that know you if they would sit next to you?
Seems like redundant question.
I'm sure you already knew that
Hence my redundant answer |

I've no idea what you mean by that. I read the sentence above but I don't understand it.
What's black privilege? Asking in in sincerity. |

Nobody sitting next to you on public transport, people cross the road when they see you coming to give you the whole pavement, security follow you around the supermarket to make sure nobody bothers you etc. |

"Absolutely Pickles; Let’s hold hands 😜 and touch thighs.
See what I mean? It’s a no from me. I don’t like surreptitious tweaks. Besides which, I’m strictly ‘upper deck’."
This might sound rude but I don’t mean it like that so I’m just clarifying in advance but -
I didn’t make the offer to you |

See what’s the protocol here, if you were by the window and the empty seat was next to you by the aisle and someone was making a move toward it, would you get up and out and let them sit and you get into the aisle and then wander to the exit door or would you let them sit down and then as your stop approached ever closer would you ask them then to get up so you could shimmy past? Public transport is difficult. Dilficult. |

"Only if I was holding my handbag really tight
What a surprise, , you’re the first one that got it
I do that, regardless of who I sit next to.
Yeah but that’s not the joke "
Is it one of you young peoples' jokes? |

"But would YOU be happy to be sat next to me ??
Well, the entire point of this thread is that my answer is no. I wouldn’t want any of you to sit next to me. "
I bring my own chair, I'm THAT determined not to sit next to anyone. |

It depends.
If my choice was sitting next to you or standing and you acted indifferent by staring out of the window, looking at your phone, reading a newspaper or something like that then yes, I'd happily sit next to you no problem.
However, if you did anything weird like deliberately making eye contact once I boarded, winking and smiling whilst patting the empty seat next to you then fuck no...I'm standing. |

If we ain't married, dating, family, freinds or work collegies I ain't sitting next to you unless I absoultely have no choice.
It's nothing against anyone. I just don't loke sitting so closely to people I do not know. I have the urge to strike up conversation and people tend to not like it so I just stand.

"No, I wouldn’t.
If your prolific thread starting on here is anything to go by, you wouldn’t shut up once you had an audience, I’d leave the seat empty so someone else can be your victim. "
I’m from London. I don’t talk to strangers. |

I beg you to sit next to him so he’s not lonely anymore. At this point I just feel like he needs to be held x |

"I would always choose to sit by myself (in a window seat, forward facing and on the left hand side) but if there were only single seats remaining, then yes, absolutely."
Of course. You seem cool! |
