Gentlemën, Lådìes, Nøn-Bínarìes and Persons of Interest...
During my formative years here in this bureau of sexual affairs (i.e. Fab) I have come across many women (and a few good men) thrive behind the heat of their ovens: nearly every chat includes a love of baking cakes and cookies and bread.
Is this place full of bakers? Do you bake? What is your crowing glory? |

I enjoy baking and it helps me when I'm feeling stressed, but I don't do it much these days.
I make amazing scones, mince pies with the shortest, crumbliest pastry using icing sugar and a lot of cold butter, decent bread, a fair repertoire of gluten free cakes and occasionally I bake crumbles and puddings and hot desserts. |

"I occasionally bake. Many years ago, probably the 1930's, I used to bake nearly every day.
I made a pumpkin and ginger tea loaf on Sunday. It was pretty good, if you like both pumpkin and ginger. "

I like ginger. Not so much pumpkin. In fact I detest pumpkin. |

I am a prolific baker primarily making for my family, friends and my own consumption.
The most popular cakes are Lemon Drizzle, Victoria Sponge, Coconut and Raspberry. Irish Brack, and Banana cakes.
Fruit Scones, Plain scones and Cheese scones are popular.
Will start making mince pipes later this month having made my own mincemeat.
And finally I make Jam Strawberry, Raspberry and apricot being the most popular, along with my 3 fruit Marmalade.
Being retired I have ample time to enjoy what I see as a hobby. |

I occasionally cream some butter and sugar together.
Cinnamon rolls are probably my signature bake, but carrot cake is catching up.
Also pastel de nata, mince pies, tarte au frais get trotted out when seasonally appropriate.

I am a very accomplished baker.
Specialties include French patisserie and Mexican sweet delights. More than happy to showcase my portfolio.
Sadly I have no time to bake anymore and I have no self control either. If I bake a dozen oastries, I eat the dozen. |

It's just a vanilla sponge with a bit of cocoa powder and red colouring in it covered with vanilla frosting. It's quite a lot of faff for a cake that you'd expect to taste better! My sons fave though so.... |

Pies.
The original fast food.
Those little bundles of everything you need in a perfect parcel.
Transportable, no mess. No cutlery or crockery necessary.
My daughter made me one for my birthday a while back. It was a fusion of a traditional English deep fill style, with a Jamaican patty style pastry and a spicy curry lamb and potato filling. It was amazing. She used goose fat in the pastry, I believe.
I like baking generally, but pies are the pinnacle. |

Actually, the original “red” colour in red velvet cake comes from the chemical reaction between the cocoa processed with alkali (also known as “Dutch-processed cocoa”) and buttermilk in the batter- acid+alkaline= bubbles and colour. Dutch processed cocoa has a darker, richer colour and therefore tastes more of chocolate than regular cocoa.
A true Red Velvet cake will always, always have cream cheese frosting. But nowadays for simplicity’s sake, red food colour will be added. Most red food colour tastes rank, unless it’s cochineal-based. More to Google!
My oldest son adores red velvet cake. I think there are better tasting cakes out there. Coffee and Walnut. Oh yes |

Surprisingly the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting always seems to be everyone's favourite. Mine definitely tastes better than any I've tried in cafes. It's moist and spicy.

Yes! I'm an avid baker and cook ^-^. I've actually just had meets where I cook and/or bake something with someone and I have a regular now where that's what we do alongside the normal sexual stuff :3. Yesterday we cooked an apple and blackberry pie and also made a beautiful pasta dish with some homemade garlic bread to go with it. |

....the very first "recipe" I remember coming across was when my first ever gf (talking high school) gave me a handwritten recipe of "Banana Love Bread" (it was full of innuendos)..... unfortunately I was too naive at the time to get the hint that she wanted a bit more than to hold hands and kiss behind the dorms!!

I love to bake, and will happily give anything a go. Have always loved making cakes though, since I got 10/10 for my Victoria Sponge at school when I was 12! I’ve just finished piping a batch of pumpkin spice cupcakes ready to take into work tomorrow and my kitchen smells delicious. |
