I think I would do a bit of travelling, but more importantly I would go back to uni as I love learning.
Next thing would be to buy tickets for all the music events I am interested in and then I would test a few London restaurants I have not been to.

Pay off my sister's mortgage and get them a new car.
Anonymously buy my friend's house so that she can move and get a place near us.
Put a lump sum away for each of the children and set them a challenge each to get it.
Cash injection into the charities I am involved with.
Buy a big house in Lyme Regis.
Visit friends in New Zealand.
Go to uni and study philosophy. |

I would travel to some sunny destinations for 3 months whilst my new home is being decorated.
Then I would set up a chain of swingers clubs up & down the country, so everyone can share the wealth. |

"I'd set up a call centre in indiaWhy would you do that? Just curious, me... "
It's the last thing I'd do.
I'd actually do something for someone else. I'm happy with everything I've got and would like to do something for those less fortunate.
I've had and lost money and I can tell you that the things money can buy don't bring you the happiness it's those who you share them with that do.
Right... that's enough sensibleness from me!!! |

I completely agree with your stance on money - and originally I thought more about if people had not real wealth but just sufficient financial security to do what they want to do and then started a new hobby for example. Then I got carried away in my thread. But I completely get where you are coming from. What you do for other people gives you so much more, doesnt it? |

Gosh, got a long list in my head but the first would be to go somewhere nice and hot and hire a huge villa by the sea with a giant boat for a month so I can get my head together and make plans.
Seeing the Northern lights is definitely on my list though. Find a nice spa hotel somewhere in Lapland or Norway or something and cosy up by a log fire with Vince.

After all the usual holidays, cars, money for my family and friends etc I would look at opening a residential home for kids that can't function within a family unit but ensure it runs with staff that care and have the kids welfare as priority and not a home thats simply resource run by uncaring people who are doing it simply as a job!!
And I'd finally do my masters too |
