Ey up good folks 😃
Did you know that pubic wigs date back to the 1450s?
Quite amazing I think you’ll agree, yes?
Have you ever encountered one?
Perhaps you like to wear one as an expedient beard or else perhaps have shaved your head and subsequently donned one as an unusual toupee?
Please discuss anything relating to this most fine of intimate adornments in fact 👍🏻

"Not experienced one yet. But why did they wear them? Surely they were hairy down below anyway back in those days?
Interesting….🕵️♂️"
I believe it was to help get rid of crabs as they shaved hair off to treat it. And many then wore Merkins. Also in old film it was often still seen as taboo showing pubic hair so merkins were over top of existing and not theciersons own as such |

You know your Merkins 😜These are indeed true; praise be to the merkin say I 👍🏻
Another interesting fact regarding them is the etymology of the term itself.
According to some scholars, the name Merkin is derived from, Marykin, which is a pet form of the name Mary (a vagina) as in hairy Mary.
