Was gonna say hearing the patter of tiny feet of sister's kids coming over but the roads were so icy she opted not to and I don't blame her. Although...as a result it was lovely and quiet all day lol so I guess either is nice! |

Seeing all 3 of my grown up kids running towards me and screaming......... mummmmmmm
as I walked in the door to my daughter's pub with their prezzies.
Glad I'm home now though. They don't half get on ya nerves after 24 hours! |

"I volunteered and spent the day with elderly and homeless people. The highlight was having lunch with 3 homeless guys and being humbled by them."

It snowed on Xmas Eve, which is just magical. We went to Beamish and my daughter spotted a Robin actually sitting in a Christmas Tree... a real live Robin in a Christmas Tree! How much more Christmassey than that can you get?
My 8m/o son ripping the paper of his pressies then reaching for the next one (he hadn't a clue what was in the boxes but loved the paper ripping part and seemed to know which ones were his)
My 12y/o daughter sitting beside him helping him - that made me well up proper!!
Parents were here too and dinner went like a dream. Had a fantastic time this year.... someone else can cook next year though!! |
