He’d be in jail if he steamed a Premier League football match. The justice system is fucked. |

People like him deserve the most severe punishment. It’s absolutely disgusting, both the crime and the punishment. |

This is the problem with mental health it’s easy to use mental health as a excuse for poor standards of behaviour or to get what you want.Yes I appreciate people to have it but not everyone who claims to have it does just use it as a excuse to get what they want. |

He pleaded guilty to a first time offence. So par for the course.
But he had to keep his nose VERY clean for the next 7 years. I sincerely hope, like us all, its the last we ever see or hear of this vile waste of oxygen but I can't help but wonder it might not, and we may see him clogging the Courts and the media once more. |

Agreed..
There was communication for four years and hundreds of pounds paid by him to the other guy yet the only platform the prosecution could look at was WhatsApp..
That in itself is an issue..
He's gotten away with on the face of it further possible charges.. |

These crimes for the last 10 years now haven't been punishable with custodial sentences that are served, they are always suspended sentences.
It's the slow creep to the viewing of images being legalised which will happen within the next 5 years. |

"yea how can they jail him when they emptying the prisons anyway ! the rioters got a bigger sentence! "
He wouldn't have got a custodial sentence anyway as the sentences have since 10 years ago always been suspended for this type of crime.
There was a manager where i used to work, he was found with thousands of images in the worst category in 2012. He only got a suspended sentence back then.
It a crime the CPS and Police want to legalise as they see it as consuming too may many hours. |

I think it depends on the judge. My ex husband got almost 3 years for possession of indecent images. Needless to say, as soon as I found out I left. |

"Will he still get his BBC pension and other benefits from the BBC? "
He best not do, as he has brought his company's name into disrepute (along with the other motley crew).
His high paid job got him the high payed legal team, who grifted their way into keeping him out of the prison showers, picking up soap.
Disgusting. He'd probably get jail time for typing something non woke online. |

"High profiole person, was he spared jail for HIS protection "
Let's be honest as bad as it is that he's escaped justice, he's certainly not going to live a comfortable life again he's going to be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life, which is far less than he deserves.
Let's hope he fucks up and breaks his conditions and ends up in jail. |

They said in the news "of the worst kind". He should give been jailed for at least 5 years, regardless of his 'supposed'mental health status.
This sends the wrong message to people who want to view or make indecent images. 6 months is a joke and a disgrace. |

As the saying goes "the best money can buy"
He should get what anyone else would have got.

He did. The man who sold the images to him also received a suspended sentence. |

The sad thing is that the sentence he received is common in English law for that that type of offence. So regardless of his fame, and mental health excuses, his sentence is similar to what someone who isn't famous would get.
Not standing up for him in anyway, there just needs to be a massive overhaul of the punishments so that they fit the crime. And if they built a couple of extra prisons, there'd be less need for suspended sentences |

It was always going to be this outcome given the person who sent him the pics also got this sentence - I don't agree with it, but as a "celeb" everyone knows him and everyone knows he's a nonce, it's not like he can just hide away and no one will ever know, I'm sure his life will become pretty shit and so it should.

Mr" a sentence like that is only going to give other predators an excuse from here forward . Scary times ahead if more people get away with this stuf |

Yes this... Peaceful protesters have had longer sentences.
UK definitely needs an overhaul. I have no idea how easy /hard this is in reality - does it open the doors for everyone who has been previously jailed? |
