Why do some guys get the hump!?
i have been talking to a guy and arranged to meet, but i got ill and had to cancel.
He got mardy and said in done chasing women! I then explained what was wrong and arranged to meet this Monday, I've been working all day and not had time to text him, but he has text me asking why i haven't spoke to him or if I've met someone else!
And now he is being mardy again! Am i in the wrong or is he just a little bit clingy!?
i don't like letting people down but its putting me off meeting him now and I'm not sure how to go about this!
please help!
thanks x |

Fancy a drink sometime????
If you cant make it i will understand and we can plan it again...any time
Just ignore him
He will calm down. Maybe he has taken some viagra and was expecting some action
You got plenty to pick from here, and you can still try him if he calm down |

Bad for blocking? The faster you learn how to block guys ( including me if i ever piss you off ) the better it will be if you want to have fun here

Of all you have said, it would be the 'have you met someone else ?' bit that would put me off meeting him.
He sounds a little confused about the principles surrounding 'swinging' as a single.
Only you can decide which way to turn but I would certainly exercise some caution in meeting again.

Sounds like a wrong un. At least you found out what he's like early enough to avoid him. |

It is OK blocking him, but he still has your mobile number !
If he does contact you by text, I would suggest telling him why you did block him in a message so he is aware of just what he did wrong.
He may well get mardy again, but then again the 'not knowing why' is likely to eat at him more than being told why he is blocked.
Then block his number too
Don't feel bad for going with gut instinct and choosing who YOU want to meet. |

it is far, far better to be safe than sorry in these situations. In 99.9% of cases a guy who gets like this will be a pain in the arse at the very best and a dangerous fool at the worst. Don't be afraid to threaten him with the law if he uses your number to harrass you.
PS time to buy a cheap pay as you go "fuck phone" |

If you haven't met the guy before, turn up for the meet and then realise he really isn't for you I can't see that he is going to deal with that very well. You don't owe him anything. Tell him his attitude has made you uncomfortable and you no longer want to meet him. Plenty of other fairly sane lovlies on here |

yes but I'm serious, if you have a PAYG phone and only use that number for meets then if someone gets dodgy you just get a new sim card |

Yes he probably is desperate and has been in this position a few times an excuse has been made and the meet never happens.
You have cancelled due to illness but have gone to work and maybe he does not buy it and thinks your stringing him along.
Has he had many meets?

im sorry but if i sniff mardy or clingy before even a social meet, thats the end for me. you explained and if a guy genuinely wants to meet, he would wait a while longer before getting the hump |

I think all of us, me included, have some internal "buttons" that make us sensitive to what we perceive as rejection. It is not a hard and fast rule, some of it has to do how we grew up, what role models we had - but either way when those buttons are pushed we respond angrily. |

I don't like clingyness. A no means no. Txt him to say to read this thread and then tell him you will take photos of his messages and pass them to the police if he continues to contact you. It's harressment. |
