I do love a film with monsters or dinosaurs which feature in them. Can't beat the original black and white King Kong film, love the stop motion action. Tonights choice I'm watching the classic British film "The Land That Time Forgot" starring the all action hero Doug McClure. What's your favourite film?

Titz Towers, North Notts

The Thing from Another World. The closing words, where they are imploring people to keep watching the skies really shows that UFOs were treated as a real thing and feels rather quaint now

Some classics mentioned, I thought The Thing was another top film and the effects were brilliant for it's time

Somewhere In The Ether…

Another one which scared the shite out of me as a kid; Snow Beast.

It’s a late seventies made for TV film concerning a man eating Yeti terrorising a ski resort.

The yeti did look a bit like him upon its final reveal…. 😜

But no, this one starred beefy Bo Svenson as a retired skiing champion 😃😃

Soggy Middle-Earth (Cumbria)

There's loads, some sea themed ones with good effects

Underwater (2020) (bit meh)

Leviathan (1989)

Deepstar Six (1989)

The Beast (1996) is a good Sunday afternoon type thing at 3 hours long..

Not monsters or dinosaurs but Wolfen (1981) I liked..

Them! - 50s giant ant film. Easy to find online too.

Tremors has already been mentioned but deserves mentioning again.

Birdemic is absolutely abysmal but is a laugh riot (especially when watched in company).

All the above are mainly due to the cast involved in each movie, excellent casting and some great characters.

Brighton - even Hove!

I remember seeing Jurassic Park at the cinema and couldn’t believe how realistic the dinosaurs were. Jaws scared me first time I saw it - the head in the boat bit and I’ve always liked watching Jason and the Argonauts especially the skeleton attack.

Love plan 9 from outer space. There was this obscure old UK TV station called Sumo TV they used to show a weird black and white Godzilla movie from Japan, I liked that.

Really, don`t bother, Alice is in it for about 6 minutes, the rest of it is absolute rubbish (repeated every few weeks on what used to be the Horror channel on Freeview...)
