Mathew Broderick. Killed a woman and her daughter in 1987 after crashing into them in Northern Ireland. He was driving on the wrong side of the road and claims to have no memory of the crash. His girlfriend at the time Jennifer Grey also suffered severe injuries and required surgery to avoid paralysis. He got off with a small fine.

What I just don’t get about Rowling is that she could spend her life bringing joy and happiness to herself and others, but chooses instead to spend her time and money making life miserable for a tiny minority. |

You are on a rock hurtling through space at speeds your eyes cannot comprehend, your time here is so very short, imagine if you spend each day as if it’s your last and not wasting your thoughts on wishing ill on anyone else, what could you achieve, not in a materialistic sense, just who you are as a person, spend time with the ones you love, cherish them as they are on the same rock with a similar brief timeline, ideologies divide us because that’s what they are supposed to do, tribalism control us because well ‘they’ are not one of us so therefore don’t deserve our love
Or put it this way, your last thoughts should be oh I’m glad I did this went there had this person in my life and not ‘ I’m glad I told ‘insert anyone’s name here’ what I thought of them, my last thoughts will be ‘oh shit that didn’t go to plan’ but that’s for another day

Cost to tax payer in excess of £100m a year.
There's no evidence they specifically add to tourism, before you pull out that chestnut.
Monarchy are specifically denied to be involved in politics, but our government must seek permission from the monarchy to pass new legislation (box ticking) and must swear allegiance to the monarchy. Pointless. |

I second this. The evidence even points to more money to be made from tourism when there is no royal family in the picture. Apparently its easier to get more people into castles and palaces when there aren't a bunch of freeloaders living inside them. |
