"Not sure why we bother writing a profile when so many don't read it. Would save them throwing their toys out of the pram when they are told no and why"
Unfortunately it's a very sad fact that so many don't fully read the profile. Your definitely right that it would stop a lot of problems.

I read every single one. Fully. And so i know to exclude myself from people who don't fit and vice versa.
I know my profile is rubbish. Might explain why i get a lot of meets in clubs but really difficult here! |

"Some people can't see past tits "
This. I haven't posted any public photos or even got round to writing my profile properly but my inbox is very much quality messages over quantity (junk mail). Also use heavy filters. |

Agreed OP. Very frustrating. Folk always think theres a work around or that what you’ve written doesnt apply to them. Short of blocking everyone and messaging profiles you like first theres not much you can do. |

We appreciate a well written profile, I always read it in its entirety.
If someone hasn't the time to read a profile, they are not going to have the time when getting down to the most important part 🙃😉

Couldn't agree more, and even when they say they read it it's obvious they haven't! |

Agree. The guys look at the photos, then send messages and wonder why I simply don't reply or have to point out that there are worsds that need reading below the photos |

"We’ve added a new paragraph at the start which pretty much says to not message us if your profile is mainly your cock then don’t waste everyone’s time…
…guess who’s time they waste still "
I'll take "people with profiles that are mainly their cock" for 400 please, Alex. |

Omgoodness so so true... Had some get really arsey and rude when we remind them of the boundaries which are all on the profile and they claim they have read |

It’s pure laziness not having the common decency to read a profile. I’ve condensed mine so much in hope that it will be read but to no avail the majority are too occupied by my pictures. |

I actually enjoy reading some of them. The humour and sarcasm in some, just crack me up to the point where I almost want to message just to congratulate them on a well written and funny profile. I especially love the ones that have the secret message in them. Like to prove that you have read it put (usually something obscure or weird like smurf sex) in the message title |

When I wasn't hidden and I'd get messages such as "loved your profile" (it is very *I'm not meeting* heavy!) I'd sometimes reply with "which bit? Tell me which really stood out for you?" Sometimes I'd get abuse for wasting people's time, asking why I was here (just here for the forums) and on the very odd occasion they would admit they didn't read it. Hence being hidden now, no point having it "live"... I've had 5 messages in 3 days since 😂.
*I don't think I have said anything I shouldn't have here mods, please don't put me on the naughty step 😂❤️ |

Not always, sometimes you just get chatting & I sometimes read them after we’ve interacted for a while to make sure I keep an open mind
I don’t think it’s the law that you must read them before messaging is it ? |

You don’t write it for those that don’t bother to read it. You wrote it for the people that do.
If you’re not interested in them, just rely with a no thanks, hit the block button, and boom…………no toy throwing comebacks.
Fab’s a piece of piss. |

Sadly I think some don't even read the heading, leave along get to the profile
tbh I'm male, so don't get a lot of messages, and messages from idiots amuse me (as I wonder what planet they are on, and who they think is likely to respond ), but if I were female or couple getting lots of messages, I can understand frustration and annoyance.
Hope the quality of your messages improves! |

I start to read all profiles but then if it states I'm not the type they're looking for I stop, same goes for the war and peace length types.🥱
I will often but not always block these profiles as a filter

You write a good profile for the ones who do read; the ones who are likely to be on your wavelength.
The fact others don't read it, just demonstrates they're likely a no. It's just another filter.
Some people - the right people, do read. Stay heartened. Ignore the crud.

Exactly this. We put quite clearly on our profile title. Yet daily we get messages, asking when is our next meet? Or offers, that they are staying nearby for work ect. If we've not got a meet up, it means we're not playing. Prob working, but it makes us the bad guys by ignoring, and or blocking.
We are a very gen, play reg couple, who play very hard when we do. A couple that seeks out single men. But lots shoot themselves in the foot, by messaging and bombard messaging us, when we have no meet up.
- no messages by dm, off the back of this thread. |

I can speak to someone for months before I eventually read their profile.
A profile generally gives you a list of what they want and don't, it doesn't tell me if I'd get on with the person or not. |

If you can tell.someone hasn't read your profile when they message then it's doing the job intended.
It's identifying those you won't be compatible with as much as it is those you may be, so it's actually great when people clearly demonstrate they have put in a couple of minutes effort to read some words.
It makes it an easy decision to delete mail and hit the block button. There's no limit on the number of blocks you can apply and it's the perfect permanent filter to whittle down the potentials list.
I love it when it's obvious they haven't read mine. Saves me ages trying to decide if I might want to engage with them. 😁 |

I don't expect someone to read all of my profile as it's getting a bit long, but it would be nice if people read the first line. The one good thing is it's a good filter. |

"I enjoy reading a profile.
I like to get an insight into if I feel we may be compatible in person.
It’s nice to learn about someone too "
A profile doesnt tell the whole story. Theres so many on fab that speaking to them personally and privately changes your whole idea of them. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. |

I get that, sometimes it’s like false advertising when you do start to talk or meet.
But it’s sometimes beautiful too |
