I never, ever justify myself to strangers. I rarely justify myself to anyone except my partner.
By the same token I never add 'Sorry' to any opinion that differs to other people's or end what I say with 'just my opinion'. |

I've been given a small amount of grief on here because I'm not meeting anyone new presently and some think I shouldn't be on here so. Well, it's written twice on my profile if people still want to chance their arms by asking for a meet or messaging then they are just wasting their own time,the same as those who try and get me to justify why I'm not meeting. Even if I was the I wouldn't meet them anyhow with attitudes like that.
So no I don't feel the need to justify to anyone why I am on here, because it's my choice to be on here and no one else's business. |

The only thing I've ever had to justify on fab is that I'm straight.
I've never had to justify my reasons for being here or my choices despite some taking offence with the latter.
Some don't seem to understand the meaning of straight and often confuse it with being afraid of my sexuality or are of the opinion that I'm narrow-minded because I don't embrace a non existent bi side.
Beyond that I am more than happy with my choices. |

Ppl want justification for
1) understanding - they genuinely dont get it and want to understand or learn more
2) to invalidate what/why you are doing something.
3) judgement
4) to get you to change your mind

In my limited experience, most people trying to justify, prove or convince, someone on here seem mostly trying to justify, prove or convince themselves… …I’m not immune from that statement either…  |

I occasionally get a stroppy “well why are you on here then” when I reply that I’m not meeting.
I just say that I’m not meeting NOW, not that I’ve never met. They just missed the bus is all.
We are all here for our own reasons, I don’t question it. |
