Uhmmmmmm I don't tend to read fiction
If I had to pic a Trilogy it'd be
Yuval Noah Harari - Sapiens - Homo Deus and 21 lessons for the 21st century
I've just finished Stop Reading the News by Rolf Dobelli ( 10 years old almost but still applicable.)
I've just back ordered two others of his
The Art of the Good Life and The Art of Thinking Clearly. |

"I'm not into young adults books. What do you find appealing about the Demonata books ?"
I've always been a big fan of demons and monsters, and the first encounter with lord loss was creepy and terrifying.
I've always liked my dark and grim story's especially with demons and monsters!
Still need to read his other book
I'm glad you got the spelling right I forgot. |

Perdido is New Weird, somewhere between the sci-fi and fantasy line with a lot of socialist attitude.
Sloss is just kind of the ramblings of a comedian during lockdown. |

The Charlie Parker series by John Connolly, and the The Niceville Trilogy by Carsten Stroud, they are paranormal type thrillers, and The Danilov Quintet Series by Jasper Kent, they are about vampires but set in a real historic period of time, I love them all!! |

For favourites I keep returning to the science fiction of my youth. Things like Asimov's foundation series. They're far from perfect in many ways, but some of the modern series seem more like the current fad from Holywood of multiple re-boots of the same super hero movie. It gets a bit tired after a while. |

I'm slightly obsessed with the Fourth wing - Rebecca Yarros can't wait for the 3rd to come out.
I'm a recently fantasy lover When the moon hatched - Sarah J Parker is another I love.
For a bit of smut - Lady Venom takes a mistress - kat blackthorne is a favourite.

I haven't got a favourite book. There are a couple I reread now and again just for the pleasure of it. At the moment I'm listening to Prunella Scales reading 'Wives and Daughters' by Elizabeth Gaskell. It's such a pleasure |

You're actually thinking of Andy McNab, bravo two zero.
Chris Ryan wrote the one that got away , part of the same group. Their books were factual. Terence Strongs are fiction. |

All of John Steinbeck's books.
The photo of 'Migrant Mother' hit me like a freight train when in my teens, and I've been influenced and spellbound ever since with Steinbecks writings, those times (both here in the UK and Stateside) times and the struggles, cries, stoicism, beauty, bravery, resilience, perseverance and struggles of the labouring classes.

Harry Dresden Files series - By Jim Butcher.
The 1st book probably...
Cos it gets you hooked. The amusing bit being he's not a children's entertainer he deals in unexplained supernatural phenomenon. He's also a wizard. He just doesn't get how powerful he is...
You could just pick up any book in that series & be entertained. You don't need to read previous books to understand the background story.

I don't read much fiction anymore. I like Ben MacIntyre's books. I like a lot of factual history stuff, about many eras and events. I also read a lot of science-y stuff because I'm a massive geek.
I'm currently finishing a book about the evolution of the female body. It's called Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution, by Cat Bohannon. Appeals greatly to the biologist in me. |

Three:
The Buddha of Suburbia
The Line of Beauty
The Secret History.
I only like books beginning with "The".
My favourite authors are probably Jonathan Coe and William Boyd; I've read pretty much everything of theirs and never disappointed. "Any Human Heart" might make the list above, now I think of it. |

I read a book when I was in senior school, called Moses Beech and it's probably the only one that has ever stayed in my head, I bought it a few years back and loved reading it.
There is also another I loved called "my best friends girl" my Dorothy Koomson and that's another that has stayed in my head.
I have lots of books, I just really need to be in the mood, once I found it, I can crack it out in a couple of days, I've started so many in the last few months but my brain won't switch into gear, so I have at least 3 stories in my head lol. |

Another vote here for Sir Terry Pratchett and his discworld series, Night Watch being one of my favourites in there, though honestly have enjoyed them all.
Jasper Fforde and his Thursday Next series are also good.

This changes dependent on what phase of mood I am in life. If I am feeling more introspective there are other's I would choose. I'm voting American Gods by Neil Gaiman. If you could choose comic series, it would be the Sandman which was mind shattering when I first read it in the 90s.
I also really like Howl's Moving Castle in book form |

Over the last couple of years I've been devouring the Peter Grant series by Ben Aaronovitch.
Other favourites are Louis de Bernières Latin American trilogy, Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, Ruth Rendell's Inspector Wexford series, anything by Tolkien, and George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. |

Sherlock Holmes is among my faves Nell 😍
Like several others above I adore Tolkien. Recently series I've loved include Patricia Brigg's Mercy Thompson books, Deborah Harkness' All Souls series and A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. Everything ever written by Ilona Andrews. |
