Used to love it as a kid - my mum made them very regular for Sunday pudding.
Now though, I'd probably avoid all that mushy, slushy, gloopiness slopping around in my tum. 🤢

I've not had a trifle for years.
When I used to eat them though they were sans Jelly ...... loaded with fruit and juice a small smear of custard and LASHINGS of fresh cream...... mmmmmm

I love trifle, but no jelly thank you! I also love tiramisu which is kind of trifle adjacent.
In fact I'm eating some tiramisu right now and I started singing a happy song to myself. B tells me apparently gorillas do that too. Not sure of the point he's making, or if he's just sharing a fun fact 🤔🦍 |

Recently in M andS, chap in front of me with about a dozen meals for one.
Cashier scans 12 meals for one without comment.
Gets to his trifle, looks at the meals for one, "did you know this trifle is for 4?"
