A bit of a different take to my usual match threads. This is speed dating. Say you are in and post three questions on the thread. Then people can message their answers directly to you if filters alliw or post on the thread. If you get an answer you like from someone just declare your match on the thread. You can declare as many matches as you like.
I will start with my three questions:

I’m going to say Stuart Hall. I love so much of what I’ve read by him. His stuff on representation especially is fantastic.
Erm from 2020? Probably still covid testing. Isolating if I have covid. Masking if I am unwell. Carry a mask and hand sanitiser with me every time I go out in my rucksack. Not much when I write it out but yeah.

If not Hall- Bourdieu is amazing. Angela Davis is amazing. But something I read by Hazel Carby, her essay, ‘white woman listen’ is something that led me to Black feminism and completely changed my feminism for the better. |
