That the phrase “ don’t throw the baby out with the bath water” is from as far back as 1300 and comes from the fact that the whole family would share bath water and it was always the baby bathed last. |

This is an important lesson and one everyone who works in the private sector should know. Sorry you had to learn it though.
I learnt some stuff for work about an engineering change to a machine. Won't bore anyone with the details.

That you shouldn't necessarily dismiss work emails if you don't understand them, or they seem innocuous...
If you do, you might miss a system change and force coworkers to have to change systems within 2 months... 😬😬😬 |

Ooh, yes I learned this one recently too, in a pub quiz. And it was the actor/ comedian from the TV program On the Buses who unveiled it and used it for the first time I think? I didn’t look it up, honest! |
