Coffee or Beer

If you had to give up one for the rest of your life what would it be?

I'd give up beer because the thought of a nice hot strong coffee gets me out of bed especially on work days. I also don't like talking to anyone until I'm halfway down my first cup.

I love a beer but my coffee love is that of an addict. My dentist actually thought I had taken up smoking at one point.

"You'll take my coffee from my cold dead hands"

Is the coffee also cold at this point? Or just your dead hands? Cos they might be slightly warm if the coffee is still hot. Which could confuse people whether you are dead or just very very still.

I'd let you class wine as beer for this purpose. Beer is just my alcoholic preference.

coffee is only a habit like many things , break the habit of thinking you need one when you dont and you'll soon get used to it.

Coffee is the winner so I'm far. I wouldn't say I'm addicted but I don't feel motivation till I have one.

"coffee is only a habit like many things , break the habit of thinking you need one when you dont and you'll soon get used to it."

You're right in terms of the physical aspects like feeling tired without one etc. at work we ran out of regular coffee and hadn't realized someone filled up the coffee jar with decaf. Wondered why come the weekend I was getting heart palpitations from the coffee at home.

But it's also habitual and comforting especially in the winter when make yourself a flask and leave the house whilst it's cold.

What's your favourite brand?

I like a medium/dark roast, not that loyal to brands. I just inhale what I can from the valve and see what notes make me crave the most.

Given up beer, unless on Holiday which isn't often.

Coffee I've reduced and drink my first one 6 hours after waking.

I could definitely give up beer, there are so many alternatives. Glass of wine, cocktails, the odd cider.

There is NO replacement for that coffee first thing in the morning. Couldn't get through a day without it.
