Opening messages

We love that you can see a whole sentence now so you can actually delete the message without even opening it.
Surprising how 6/7 words can actually put you off.
Our biggest big bear atm is a blank profile pic - guys in this area seem to have either a blank profile pic (which suggests they are hiding) or a dick pic (which suggests that’s all they think with).

I’ve had similar, and funnily enough where I am parked up right now.
A guy messaged and asked if I was interested. I didn’t answer as I wasn’t. It said he was a few miles away. About half an hour later I got a message again from him, followed by another half dozen and he was within touching distance. He decided to describe what my lorry looked like and exactly what he was going to do to me. Weird. |

I generally don’t get opening messages. They’re usually related to something I’ve posted in the forums.
On the odd occasion I’ll get a ‘fancy a fuck’ type message from guys. They just go straight to storage file B1N  |

But seriously, the amount of icks that women have stated already about 'faf' or 'where r u?' Or 'come to my hotel' with no profile picture and an unsolicited dick pic in the message that get deleted... then I look at my well constructed messages, proof that I've read the profile, not come across too pushy but still alluring and yet my messages still get deleted leaves little hope for guys on here lol
Digressions aside, I haven't had any opening messages that I've found an 'ick' with to offer a valid opinion |

Being asked if I'm looking for fun form a guy who's profile says he's straight and won't accept messages from men. That's a bit odd.
First message
"Where are you?"
"Are you free?"
"I'm horny, meet me now?"
"Can you accommodate now?"
Only happened once so far... Had a message off someone who had hidden their profile and didn't seem to understand why I wasn't interested.

But the worst culprit for me is simply "hi". Lame. Unimaginative. Feels like someone is dumping the effort at my door to be chatty and start a conversation. |

Out of curiosity if anyone will indulge me: I've started sending my initial messages as rhyming couplets, just for something a bit quirky and unique. But would that give any of you the ick if you received a message in the form of a poem? XD |

It's quite scary that someone thinks it normal behaviour. I had a guy driving around guessing road names by the distance changing. |

Depends on the contents of the poem. I’ve received poems as opening messages. Some have utterly made my stomach turn others have been surprisingly brilliant. |

Although, very clearly says I'm not interested in men on my page. Thats all I get.
I've never taken a dick pic, let alone send one. Its big, I just don't shout about it.
I've never assumed instant meet or been rude but very rare I get a reply and if I do, its two or 3 word replies. Like pulling teeth lol not entirely sure this place is for me afterall |

This.... (points up) perplexes me. I can understand not replying/deleting/blocking these comments and profiles, but my messages are nowhere near this crass or vulgar... yet, many will treat me the same and delete/blank.
Guys put the effort in, but get painted with the same brush. But this is the way of Fab and just the way it is

That's the thing, though. No matter how much time or effort you spend writing a message out, it's more often than not still an *unsolicited* message you weren't invited to send. It's the equivalent of a door to door salesman: no matter how polite he is or how good his sales pitch, a lot of people just won't bother answering the door because they don't want to buy anything from him. |

So you are doing exactly the same and painting all couples with te same brush.
If we get even a half decent message we will always reply.even if it's to say no thanks.
The only ones we don't reply to are the lazy messages or profiles with nothing on but fill in later.
We don't reply to crude or crass messages either.

Tbf... I do this. Nah, I get it the 'unsolicited' side of it. To be clear, I'm not complaining or moaning, doesn't bother me anyways as I'm not a serial message sender.. the the occasional if someone takes my fancy.
The way I figure it... if no one is messaging me, you kinda got to go out and look for it otherwise apart from the forums, it defeats the point entirely being here.
