I stayed up reading a book I just couldn’t put down. Now. I don’t want to sleep.
I also ripped my favourite dress. The only one I can wear without a bra. It’s ruined. ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

That absolutely sucks about the dress. What book have you been reading? |

It’s a random book I picked up at the airport a few days ago. It’s not my typical genre but it was surprisingly good. Manila takes Manhattan. It’s a romance novel but what made me keen was the author’s hidden background story within the story. The book is set in April-May 2022 when the Phillipines was on the cusp of something akin to hope. It was a conflict that few heard about but one that mattered. It’s intertwined in this crazy love story. The love story isn’t the best but the author’s ability to intertwine this very important time in history in a romance novel was clever.
I will lose the interest of all of you now. ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Not at all, that sounds fascinating. I like layered stories, especially ones that are cleverly done. |
