1999 I got married, didn't really see any films and never watched human traffic, it's its 25th anniversary this year (I cannot believe I got married for the first time 25 years ago!) so thought "it's about time"....I could have left it another 25 years and still be none the wiser.
Maybe it's because I didn't do any of that growing up so couldn't really get into it, possibly.
Anyone else got films they wished they never bothered with?...eyes wide shut for me is another, Donnie darko is another (even watched it straight after with the commentary and the director couldn't even explain what it was about!) |

The Last Jedi.
I would have walked out but someone had been kind enough to pay for my ticket so I sat in polite misery for the interminable duration.
Also, Transformers; what a pile of absolute crap that was.
Fucking insulting in fact! |

I made the biggest mistake in watching Nick Cage in the remake of the Wicker Man. I love the original film and knew that film couldn’t be bettered I don’t even know why I went.
Yes at the cinema so I couldn’t even turn the channel over.
They’ll be other films but that’s definitely the worst. |

I'm going to break one of my own taboos by even mentioning these, but...
The Hobbit trilogy. What a merchandise-centred, fanboy abortion of an adaptation. Quadruply disappointing after the very passable effort that was The Lord of the Rings.
The Hobbit should have been a single film that didn't try to include prequel stuff scraped from the histories. Absolutely abysmal. I'll stop before I rant more and hyperventilate.

"The Blair Witch Project without a doubt
Could make a better film on my phone in the dark in the park "
The ending of that film still confuses me to this day.
Why was that guy stood pissing against the wall in the house?
I mean…I presume that’s what he was doing at least… |

What a mess those films are. My friends who aren’t big LOTR fans say the Hobbit films are the better trilogy and it kills me. I bite everytime. There was far too much CGI as well it felt cartoony. |

This is one of my few hot takes but I thought Inception was utter garbage. I hated it from start to finish, it was basically a Freudian Matrix rip-off and I cared not one iota about any of the characters, the concept, nor for any spinning tops. Just nice-looking pretentious trash. What's worse is the "you're just too dumb to get it bro" responses you get. Sure, whatever. I'll take the OG Total Recall over that bs anytime |

Amen!
It’s an overlong, overblown and overhyped bag of pretentious shite of the highest order.
Original? Not even that! The exact same basic plot was done previously (and far better in my opinion!) in 1984’s, Dreamscape starring Dennis Quade. |

Battlefield Earth….
I was thoroughly bored one evening in Reading while on a work course, so rather than sit in the hotel room alone decided I’d go to the cinema, the choice was this or a chick flick with David Duchovny in….
Afterwards I wished I’d picked the chick flick |

"Oppenheimer! Absolute tosh!!
Is it? Why? We were going to watch it at the weekend "
I thought it was good but then I liked La La Land, Eyes wide shut, Brazil, Taxi Driver …
Not really seen any bad ones - if the critic rating is low on rotten tomatoes ill pass. |

"For me the worst films EVERRRRRRRRRR
are : Lost in translation and Nope "
I liked Lost in Translation. And Nope, but it’s like all the Jordan Peele movies, fantastic build but the final reel is not really satisfying. |

Thank you for your service. Your brave sacrifice meant that so many did not have to. You will never get those two hours back and Nic Cage’s extreme over-acting will haunt you forever, and spoil his ‘good’ performances too. |

We’ve a thing on wine and movie nights, actively hunting out really shite Nicholas Cage films (we love the Cage but some of his ‘pay the rent’ recent film have been utterly ridiculous and at least a two bottler on many occasions). K |

""Ghost". Still resent I paid money for this."
Aw, I love Ghost. The orchestral version of Unchained Melody at the end always makes me teary eyed when Sam is about to move on |

It was, but good tosh! I’ve never been able to get into the Swaze in…anything…in his best performances he is like a block of wood and in his worst performances, he is just like a block of wood. |

Contagion. One of the first films my husband and I went to see at the cinema together, he’s not allowed to choose any more.
Also Locke. Proved to me that as gorgeous as he is, I couldn’t just sit and watch Tom Hardy talk for two hours |

"300, one of the worst films ever.
It is however the most homoerotic film ever made so I suppose, if you view it as gay porn, it has merit.
This is madness!"
Given the Spartans encouraged sexual relationships between their soldiers it’s entirely in keeping with history. |

I was hoping for a “This is Sparta!” Your reply works just as well, though. Can hear King Leonidas saying it now. |

300, someone said Rebel Moon earlier, we can just lay to rest all Zack Snyder movies here and now.
- Dawn of the Dead
- 300
- Watchmen
- Suckerpunch
- Man of Steel
- Batman Vs Superman
- Justice League
- Army of the Dead
- Rebel Moon
Wow, he really is a dreadful director. Haven't seen Legend of the Guardians, so there might be one good one in there after all.

I remember going to a midnight screening of "mortal kombat". This was the first film adaptation of the game as far as I'm aware.
Bad.
- Very bad.
I remember falling asleep.
I was in my late teens, so it was a long time ago.
I do think film adaptations of games has gotten better in recent years though. |

"Brazil. No Idea what was going totally waste of of money!
One of my favourite films "
Wha? I love Brazil and I am willing to give Terry Gilliam a pass for anything he wants to make. I was slightly obsessed by The Fisher King for a while. What a great film. |

Wrong. It is all the bad stuff that people say but is also unlike anything anyone had made until then. Oh and it is bloody entertaining. |

300 broke my pause button. Damn that movie. "
I agree and it was a fun story. That was before I realised how weird Gerard Butler’s mouth was. |

"Don't Look Up. Funny, and it wasn't meant to be funny "
Slightly odd. Not sure nic roeg had made a truly good movie. Although I have fond memories of watching Jenny Aguter in Walkabout as a child. I had neglectful parents who allowed to go to the cinema from 9am until 11am. I watched the same double movie programme over and over. I think I saw this three times one day. |

"Melancholia....
aptly named and extensively slow-paced doom and gloom fest to be got through.
(A nice-looking horse with a cameo role was some salvation). x"
I haven’t seen it but it is on my list. |

The Crow: City Of Angels has been mentioned;
I actually didn’t mind this one too much and thought Vincent Perez played the tortured soul adequately enough even if it admittedly wasn’t a patch on Brandon Lee’s original.
However, The Crow: Wicked Prayer starring Edward Furlong…..now THAT is fucking abysmal.
Insultingly so in fact |

Its essentially a love story- for his family and the girl...the rest is just artistic guff really |
